With your Android phone linked to a Windows PC, open Phone Link and press Ctrl + Shift + D to toggle the phone’s Do Not Disturb setting. Microsoft documents this shortcut for Android only; it does not control Do Not Disturb on an iPhone.
Toggle Do Not Disturb from Phone Link
- Open Phone Link on your Windows PC and confirm that your Android device is linked.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + D. The shortcut switches the linked Android device’s Do Not Disturb setting on or off. Microsoft lists it as “Do not disturb on/off (Android only)” in its Phone Link keyboard shortcuts.
Check whether your devices meet the requirements
Microsoft lists Windows 11, or Windows 10 with the October 2022 update or later, and Android 10 or later as Phone Link requirements. The feature works with select Android devices, including select Samsung, HONOR, OPPO, ASUS, and vivo models. Microsoft recommends using the latest Windows 11 version for the best experience. See the Phone Link requirements and setup page for device-specific information.

If the Do Not Disturb control is unavailable or does not work
On Android 15 or later, allow Link to Windows to manage Do Not Disturb
- On your Android device, open Settings and find Do Not Disturb.
- Open Mode or Schedules; the submenu name varies by device.
- If a Link to Windows toggle is available, turn it on.
- Check whether another app or system mode, such as Sleep or Focus, is managing Do Not Disturb.
Microsoft notes that a competing app or mode, or a disabled Link to Windows setting, can prevent Phone Link from controlling Do Not Disturb on Android 15 or later. Its setup guidance describes these steps.

Distinguish notification permissions from Do Not Disturb control
Android 13 introduced a runtime notification permission used for data transfer and sending notifications between devices. You can approve it during pairing or check it on Android under Settings > Apps > Link to Windows > Notifications. Granting notification permission is not, by itself, confirmation that Phone Link can control Do Not Disturb.

For general notification or syncing problems
Microsoft’s broader Phone Link troubleshooting guide advises checking that Link to Windows notifications are enabled and that Android Do Not Disturb is turned off when troubleshooting notification or syncing issues. This general advice is separate from the Android 15-or-later steps for allowing Link to Windows to manage Do Not Disturb.
