To control a treadmill camera, first identify the exact treadmill and app: there is no universal camera switch or menu path, and a policy mentioning cameras does not prove your model has one. Check the model’s manual and current privacy policy, then review camera or image-processing controls separately from workout-data syncing, phone permissions, and sharing settings.
First, confirm whether your treadmill has a camera
Find the treadmill’s make and model, the connected display (if any), the companion app name and version, and your region. Check the manual and the manufacturer’s current privacy policy for that specific product. Do not infer that a treadmill has a camera simply because its manufacturer’s policy discusses camera or image-processing features.

For example, UREVO’s privacy policy, last updated July 8, 2026, describes optional camera or image-processing features. It does not establish that every UREVO treadmill includes a camera. UREVO’s privacy policy should be read alongside the manual for your exact model. The Strol 2S Pro product page describes app-based workout history and data synchronization, but does not identify a camera on that treadmill. Likewise, the reviewed CyberMega product page does not establish camera presence.

How to turn off optional camera or image features
Menu names and controls vary by device, firmware, app version, and region. Use the treadmill’s manual for the exact path; the checks below help you find and verify the relevant controls without assuming a particular menu exists.
#1 Best Overall
- THE T6.5S TREADMILL - See your live workout stats on the clear LCD display or use your own device to follow iFIT trainers and automatically control your treadmill, all from your phone or tablet (iFIT Train Membership Required).
- 0-10 MPH - Run, jog, or walk at speeds of up to 10 MPH. Perfect for home workouts, cardio training, and endurance building.
- 0-10% INCLINE - Boost calorie burn and target more muscle groups with a 0–10% incline range.
- KEYFLEX CUSHIONING - Reduce joint impact while walking or running. This treadmill supports smoother strides and improved comfort for daily use.
- FOLDABLE & COMPACT - The folding frame makes this treadmill ideal for small spaces. When you're done, fold it and roll it away. Press the foot bar for smooth, assisted lowering.
- Check the treadmill and app. In the device and companion-app settings, look for camera, image processing, face or biometric features, coaching, recording, personalization, and related consent controls. Disable unwanted optional features. Confirm whether the change applies to the treadmill, the phone app, or both.
- Review camera permission on your phone. Your phone’s operating-system settings can show whether the companion app may use the phone’s camera. Revoking that permission restricts phone-camera access; it may not switch off a camera built into the treadmill. Use the model manual to check for device-camera controls.
- Check what the feature actually processes. Look for whether it analyzes images locally, uploads images or video, or sends derived information such as movement data. UREVO says local or real-time processing occurs “where possible”; that wording is not a guarantee that every image feature is local-only.
- Verify the result. Reopen the relevant setting after changing it and check whether the feature is shown as off. If you cannot identify a control or its scope, consult the manufacturer’s model-specific support or manual rather than assuming that a phone permission or account setting disables treadmill hardware.
UREVO says its optional camera or image-processing features are disabled by default, require explicit consent to activate, and can be enabled or disabled in device or app settings. That is a statement about UREVO’s policy, not a universal default for treadmill brands or models. The company also says optional intelligent features are not used to train general-purpose machine-learning models without explicit consent.
Camera controls are separate from workout-data controls
A connected treadmill can sync workout information without using a camera. Camera capture and fitness-data collection are different data paths, so turning off a camera feature does not necessarily stop workout-history syncing or remove data already collected.

UREVO’s policy describes movement and treadmill activity data, workout history, device and app interactions, and sharing with authorized integrations and service providers. It says detailed fitness data and full workout history remain private by default unless the user chooses to share them in the app. The Strol 2S Pro page’s description of workout-history review and synchronization illustrates why app data should be checked independently of camera controls; it does not establish that this model has a camera.

Review what the app syncs and shares
- Check whether workout history, duration, speed, distance, steps, or calories are saved or synchronized. If heart rate is available through a connected sensor, review its handling separately.
- Review connected fitness services and other authorized integrations. Revoke connections you no longer want in the app settings; UREVO says authorization for connected platforms can be revoked there.
- Check community, leaderboard, and other visibility settings before sharing activity. A private-by-default policy statement does not mean every sharing feature is automatically off in every app configuration.
Compare the controls before enabling an optional feature
If your model offers more than one camera or data option, these are useful questions to ask in its manual or privacy policy. A control or feature may not be available on every treadmill.

| What to check | What to establish for your device |
|---|---|
| Capture and default | Whether the feature captures images or video, whether it is optional, and whether it starts off by default. |
| Image handling | Whether raw images or video leave the treadmill, or whether processing produces derived information instead. |
| Retained data | What movement, biometric, or fitness information is retained and for how long, if the policy states a schedule. |
| Account and sharing | Whether data is linked to your account or shared with service providers or integrations, and which sharing controls apply. |
| Control scope | Whether a setting affects treadmill hardware, the companion phone app, or both. |
| Data rights | How to access, export, or request deletion of information, and what exceptions may apply. |
Access, export, and deletion
Use the manufacturer’s account and privacy controls to request access to, export, or delete data where those options are offered. UREVO describes access, machine-readable export, and deletion requests for fitness data. Its policy says information following account closure or a deletion request will generally be deleted, anonymized, or de-identified, subject to applicable retention requirements. It does not specify a universal retention schedule or one workflow covering every data type, so consult the current policy and app for the process that applies to your account.
What a lens cover can—and cannot—do
If you have confirmed that the treadmill or an attached device has a physical camera, a lens cover can block the lens. It cannot revoke app permissions, stop treadmill metrics from being collected, erase information already collected, or establish whether data is transmitted. Check the lens location and avoid covering vents, sensors, or moving parts.

Why the exact model matters
The available manufacturer-specific information does not establish a universal menu path, camera default, or retention schedule for connected treadmills. UREVO’s policy documents controls for its optional intelligent features, while the reviewed Strol 2S Pro and CyberMega product pages do not establish that either model has a camera. For a reliable answer about your treadmill, match its model and app to their current manual and policy, then treat camera permissions, fitness syncing, integrations, and sharing as separate settings.
