What ClaudeHub tracks—and what it does not
ClaudeHub is designed to let you check usage across isolated Claude Code profiles without opening each profile just to inspect its limits. The project README lists five-hour and seven-day usage windows, model-specific utilization, reset countdowns, and extra-usage details when enabled for a profile.

Usage requests are documented as refreshing automatically every five minutes. That cadence does not mean every displayed value is always live. The app can encounter rate limits: after a 429 response, it may pause requests until the server’s retry time or a bounded backoff deadline. It may continue showing the last successful result with a label indicating that the data is not current. Check the measurement time and any stale-data notice before relying on a figure.
The README also describes OAuth token renewal through the installed Claude Code command-line tool, warnings when a known refresh-token expiry is less than five days away, and a local hourly usage journal. These are behaviors documented by the project, not independently tested guarantees.

What you need on your Mac
- An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or newer. The inspected README does not list Intel Macs or Windows as supported.
- Claude Code installed and callable in Terminal as
claude. - A distinct
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIRprofile directory for every Claude Code account you want ClaudeHub to monitor.
ClaudeHub does not create Claude accounts or perform the initial browser sign-in. Authenticate each account in its own profile directory first. The project says this setup leaves the normal ~/.claude configuration unchanged.
Prepare separate Claude Code profiles
In Terminal, set CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR for the profile you are configuring and run Claude Code’s login command. For example:
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR="$HOME/.claude-accounts/account1" claude auth loginComplete the browser login for that account. For each additional account, repeat the command with a different directory name, such as account2, and complete that account’s login separately. Keep the directory paths distinct so each profile retains its own credentials.

- Download the app’s
.dmgfrom ClaudeHub GitHub Releases. The README’s release link points to v0.3.4; check the releases page for the current version rather than assuming that version is still the latest. - Open the downloaded disk image, drag ClaudeHub to Applications, and launch it. The project says its published builds are Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and checked with Gatekeeper.
- In ClaudeHub, choose Accounts > Add Existing Claude Profile…, select the profile directory you prepared, and assign it a label for the menu.
- Repeat the add-profile step for each prepared directory you want to monitor.
Afterward, select ClaudeHub from the menu bar to inspect the profiles’ usage and reset information. Adding profiles here makes them available for monitoring; it does not switch the account used by a running Claude Code session.
Credentials, privacy, and account recovery
According to the project README, Claude Code keeps isolated-profile credentials in macOS Keychain. ClaudeHub imports credentials and also retains a copy in a Keychain service named com.tugkanboz.claudehub.credentials; the project says it does not save tokens in its configuration files or logs. It also says usage and profile requests go directly to Anthropic OAuth endpoints, with no telemetry, advertising, or third-party analytics SDK. These are maintainer statements, not the result of an independent security audit.

macOS may ask you to authorize Keychain access. The project says a denied or pending permission pauses automatic credential access and renewal for that profile, while other profiles can continue. A prior successful measurement may remain visible, marked as not current.
If a token is revoked or an authentication error occurs, sign in again using the same profile directory, then choose Accounts > Reconnect Profile. Simply reopening ClaudeHub may reuse its cached credential. A Mac restart alone does not require another browser login, but it cannot extend a token that has expired or been revoked.
The README says token renewal does not open a browser, invoke a model, or consume Claude plan usage. That statement concerns the documented renewal process; it does not establish Anthropic’s broader account policies or whether a particular multi-account arrangement is permitted.
