What the iSkim Ultra does—and what it does not
Beatbot describes the iSkim Ultra as an autonomous skimmer for above-ground and in-ground pools. It collects debris from the water’s surface; it is not a substitute for a robot that vacuums the floor or walls. Beatbot lists concrete, vinyl, fiberglass, ceramic tile and stainless steel pools as suitable, and says the unit can be used in saltwater pools. If leaves, pollen or floating debris are the main nuisance, surface automation is the relevant job. If you also need settled dirt or algae removed from the floor, plan on separate cleaning equipment or manual work.

Solar power, battery, and the “never clocks off” claim
Beatbot lists a 24 W solar panel and a 10,000 mAh battery. The company describes solar charging as helping sustain operation and says 24/7 cleaning is possible with optimal daytime sunlight; it also warns that autonomy may fall during extended periods of low sun. The product also supports magnetic wireless charging as another charging option. A third-party-hosted copy of the manual reports a magnetic charging time of at least five hours, but that figure should not be treated as a current official specification without checking Beatbot’s current manual. No independent Ultra runtime testing is established here. In particular, the standard Beatbot iSkim’s hands-on coverage cannot verify the Ultra’s battery endurance or solar performance: Tom’s Guide’s 2026-07-08 review covers the related iSkim, not the iSkim Ultra.

Debris capacity: a useful basket, not a fixed leaf count
Beatbot specifies a 9 L debris basket. It also reports that its internal tests fit 400–800 medium-sized leaves measuring 6–10 cm. That is a company lab result, not a promise about how many leaves a household pool will yield: Beatbot notes that wet versus dry leaves and experimental conditions affect the count. Navigation and controls are feature claims, not proven outcomes
Beatbot lists seven motors, 20 sensors, dual-side brushes and an S-shaped planned route. It also describes app-guided control. Those specifications suggest the features intended to help it move around the pool and collect debris at the edges, but they do not establish how reliably the Ultra handles a particular pool’s steps, corners, obstacles or shape. Independent Ultra testing across pool layouts and shade conditions is not established.
The app is described by Beatbot as offering remote control, scheduling, status and cleaning records, plus poolside parking. To connect it, the official FAQ says the Wi-Fi connection supports 2.4 GHz. Dual-band routers are compatible, but a network configured for 5 GHz only may need adjustment. Price, returns, and ownership terms
When retrieved in 2026, Beatbot’s US product page showed a $699 price reduced from $999, along with a 30-day money-back guarantee and two-year full-replacement protection. These were listing terms at that time, not a standing offer or a promise for other regions. Check the current US listing or the Beatbot EU listing for the price and terms that apply to your market.

Beatbot also lists a dust- and water-proof cover. Confirm storage guidance and model compatibility before purchasing it. The company promotes automatic water clarification, and a third-party-hosted manual copy mentions a clarifying-agent kit, but the available information does not establish refill availability or compatibility details; verify those with Beatbot before budgeting for consumables.

Who should consider the iSkim Ultra?
- A better fit: Pool owners who want floating debris skimmed automatically, have usable daylight at the pool, and can provide 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi if they want connected features.
- Think carefully: Pools that stay shaded or experience long low-sun periods, since Beatbot conditions its continuous-cleaning claim on optimal daylight.
- Look elsewhere or add another cleaner: Anyone expecting one robot to clean the water surface and vacuum the pool floor.
- Wait for independent evidence if: Your decision depends on verified Ultra runtime, obstacle handling, or performance in your particular pool geometry; those outcomes are not established here.
