TP-Link Deco BE67 Review: What Its Wi‑Fi 7 Mesh Delivers

The Deco BE67 pairs tri-band Wi‑Fi 7 with 10 Gbps Ethernet and strong independent test results, but its value depends on your plan, clients, home layout, and pack price.

The TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE67 is a tri-band Wi‑Fi 7 mesh system built for homes with multi-gig internet, newer Wi‑Fi clients, and a reason to use 6 GHz. Its 10 Gbps Ethernet port and strong independent test results make it a capable option, but the advertised speeds and coverage are not guarantees: value depends on your internet plan, devices, home layout, local 6 GHz rules, and the price of the pack you choose.

What the Deco BE67 is—and what its speed numbers mean

TP-Link classifies the BE67 as a BE14000 system, a label derived from its maximum theoretical Wi‑Fi link rates across three bands. Its 2025 datasheet lists 8,647 Mbps on 6 GHz, 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz, and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Those rates are summed for the “14 Gbps Wi-Fi Speeds” marketing claim; they are not a single-device internet speed or a promise of real-world throughput. Actual results depend on the client connection, internet service, network conditions, and environment. (TP-Link product page; TP-Link BE67 datasheet and downloads)

The BE67 is a Wi‑Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) mesh system with three bands, eight streams, 3×3 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and Multi-Link Operation (MLO), according to TP-Link. Wi‑Fi 7 features such as MLO, 320 MHz channel width, and 4K-QAM only benefit clients that support them. The 320 MHz mode uses 6 GHz, whose availability and channel rules vary by region.

How it performed in independent testing

RTINGS tested a two-node configuration and reported that it could saturate multi-gigabit connections up to about 3 Gbps in its test setup. That is useful evidence that the system can serve a fast wired internet connection under favorable conditions, not a universal speed expectation for every home or device. RTINGS published its review on June 25, 2026, and updated its test bench on September 11, 2026. (RTINGS Deco 7 Pro BE67 review)

RTINGS’ comparison also illustrates the trade-off between speed and coverage: in its tests, the Deco BE63 had better range, while the BE67 achieved higher top speeds and lower latency. The result does not establish which system will cover a particular floor plan; building materials, node placement, and wireless backhaul conditions matter.

Ports, backhaul, and wired connections

Each BE67 unit has three auto-sensing WAN/LAN Ethernet ports: one 10 Gbps, one 2.5 Gbps, and one 1 Gbps, plus USB 3.0. Only one Ethernet port can serve as WAN at a time. A multi-gig port is useful only when the modem or other upstream equipment, cable, ISP plan, and chosen WAN port can support the intended speed. The slowest link in that path can cap the connection.

The system supports optional Ethernet backhaul, which lets nodes communicate over wired Ethernet rather than relying only on Wi‑Fi. That can be valuable when nodes are separated by walls or floors, or when you want to reserve wireless capacity for client devices. If you use wireless backhaul, placement and the signal between nodes become especially important.

For context, RTINGS notes that eero Max 7 has two 10 Gbps and two 2.5 Gbps ports per unit, while ASUS ZenWiFi BQ16 Pro offers more LAN ports and a second 6 GHz band for dedicated wireless backhaul. Those are different hardware approaches; the right fit depends on your wired-device count and whether you can run Ethernet between mesh nodes.

Coverage and device capacity: advertised limits, not guarantees

TP-Link advertises up to 8,100 sq. ft. of coverage for a three-pack and up to 200 connected devices. The company says the device figure is based on laboratory tests simulating concurrent typical-home activity, and it warns that actual coverage, throughput, and capacity vary with the environment and network conditions. Treat both figures as maximum advertised scenarios rather than predictions for your house. (TP-Link product page; TP-Link BE67 datasheet and downloads)

Choose the number of nodes around the layout and the connection between them, not square footage alone. A long, multi-level home with dense walls may need more deliberate placement than an open-plan home of similar size. If Ethernet runs are available, wired backhaul gives you more flexibility in node placement.

Compatibility, features, and software considerations

Wi‑Fi 6, Wi‑Fi 5, and older compatible devices can connect to a Wi‑Fi 7 network; buying the BE67 does not require replacing every client. Older devices simply will not use Wi‑Fi 7-only capabilities such as MLO or 320 MHz channels. The more of your high-use devices that support Wi‑Fi 7 and 6 GHz, the more likely you are to benefit from those capabilities.

TP-Link lists router and access-point modes, app management, guest networks, WPA3, VPN client and server support, IoT network and device isolation, and Alexa and Google Assistant integration. Availability and exact controls can vary with firmware and region, so confirm the current options in the Deco app and local product documentation before relying on a particular setting. The BE67 also supports mixing with other Deco models, but older nodes retain their own capabilities; the whole mesh does not gain the BE67’s radios or port speeds.

TP-Link says HomeShield includes basic features, while advanced features require a paid subscription. Check the current regional plan details if specific security controls are part of your buying decision.

Who should consider the Deco BE67?

  • Consider it if you have multi-gig internet or plan to upgrade, need a 10 Gbps wired connection, and have (or expect to add) Wi‑Fi 7 clients that can use 6 GHz.
  • It may be more than you need if your internet service is well below multi-gigabit speeds, most of your devices are older Wi‑Fi generations, or your priority is coverage rather than peak speed. RTINGS’ BE63 comparison is relevant here, but test results should not be treated as a guarantee for your layout.
  • Check the pack and setup carefully if you are extending an existing Deco network. Mixed models can work together, but the slower or less capable nodes remain limiting points for clients connected through them.

No fixed price is established here, so a value verdict depends on the current price of the exact pack and configuration. Compare like-for-like node counts, wired ports, and backhaul needs before deciding.

Size and power

Each unit measures 4.23 × 4.23 × 6.93 inches (107.5 × 107.5 × 176 mm). TP-Link lists maximum power consumption of 31 W per unit, excluding the power adapter. (TP-Link BE67 datasheet and downloads)
