That is a common way to build one; the title alone does not establish the exact code, data structure, or features of a particular implementation.

The page needs a place for the nine cells, a way to start a new game, and text that communicates whose turn it is or how the game ended. JavaScript handles state and interaction
JavaScript runs in the context of the page through a script element. A deferred external script lets the browser parse the document before executing the script. Once running, JavaScript can inspect and update the page through the Document Object Model (DOM), the browser’s representation of the document.

For a typical game, the logic needs to record which cells are occupied, whose turn it is, and whether play has ended. It can listen for button activation, place the current mark in the chosen cell, check for a win or draw, and update the status text. These are implementation needs, not verified details of a specific game’s code.
How a move becomes a game update
- A player activates a cell. An event listener receives the button interaction, whether it comes from a pointer or keyboard.
- The move handler validates the action. It should ignore a cell that already contains a mark and reject further moves once the game has ended.
- The game updates its state and display. The selected cell receives the current mark, and the internal board representation must remain in agreement with what the page shows.
- The game checks for an outcome. It tests the winning lines represented in its logic. If none is complete, it checks whether any empty cells remain before handing over the turn.
- The page announces the result or next turn. Status should be available as text, not communicated only by a color or visual effect.
The exact board representation and winning-line checks depend on the code. Without that code, it would be misleading to claim that the game uses a particular array, variable naming scheme, or set of implementation details.

What to check in the JavaScript
- State: Find how the code records each cell and the current player. Confirm that rendered marks and stored values stay synchronized.
- Winning lines: Identify the combinations the code checks and verify they correspond to the rows, columns, and diagonals on the board.
- Occupied cells: Confirm that selecting a marked cell does not overwrite it or advance the turn.
- Game over: Confirm that a win or draw prevents additional moves.
- Reset: Check that starting again clears both the internal board state and the visible cells, resets the turn, and removes any previous outcome message.
Make the game usable with a keyboard
Use semantic buttons for playable cells, keep their focus indication visible, and ensure keyboard activation triggers the same move logic as pointer activation. Provide turn and outcome information in text, and make sure players can distinguish the marks without depending on color.
