What to expect from Pebble Time 2 and Round 2
Time 2 is the larger rectangular option and the model with a heart-rate sensor. Round 2 has a circular face and slimmer design, but its announced health features are step and sleep tracking. Pebble says it is not making a fitness or sports watch, even though these models include basic activity tracking.
PebbleOS supports touchscreen interaction as well as four-button navigation. Pebble’s help guide describes notifications, phone music controls, configurable actions, watchfaces and an app launcher. Pebble says its platform is open source and supports iOS and Android apps. The July 2026 update reported 2,120 apps and watchfaces for Time 2 and Round 2.

Software, battery and durability caveats
Pebble’s July 2026 software update said some users experienced inaccurate step and sleep metrics, accelerometers that stopped working, and touchscreens that stopped working or registered touches incorrectly. Pebble said it was working on the problems but did not give an ETA. These reports are company statements, not an independent assessment.
Battery life depends on use. Pebble’s official specifications estimate 30 days for Time 2 and 14 days for Round 2; its July update reported a Time 2 median of around 21 days at that time. Pebble notes that features such as the backlight, animated watchfaces and health tracking use more power.

Water-resistance claims differ by model. Pebble says Time 2 units are production-line tested to 30m/3 ATM, but warns against diving, prolonged exposure, hot water and high-pressure water. Round 2’s developer reference still labels its rating as a target. Neither should be treated as a dive watch or assumed safe for every swimming situation.

Pebble’s product FAQ says the warranty covers manufacturing defects for 30 days after receipt, with the defective watch returned before replacement. The company also cautions that the project may involve delays, incomplete features or failures. Pebble says third-party watches on iOS cannot send notification replies. Check the FAQ and order page for current terms before buying.

How to choose and check an order
- Choose Time 2 if you prefer a larger rectangular screen or want its heart-rate sensor; choose Round 2 if you prefer a circular, thinner design.
- Compare the listed features and manufacturer battery estimates with your needs. Neither model is marketed by Pebble as a dedicated sports watch.
- Check Pebble’s live product page for current price, color options, stock and delivery timing. Pre-order estimates and new-order estimates may refer to different customer groups.
- Review the warranty and water-resistance notes, and check any applicable taxes or duties before ordering.

Does Pebble Time 2 have a heart-rate monitor?
Yes. Pebble’s official specification table lists heart-rate monitoring for Time 2. The cited Round 2 specifications list step and sleep tracking but not a heart-rate monitor.

Is Pebble Round 2 waterproof?
Do not assume so. Pebble’s developer reference lists Round 2 water resistance as TBD, with 30m as a target. Time 2 has a stated 30m/3 ATM production-line test, but Pebble warns against diving and several other water exposures.
