What “Paperchase” is and how to start it
“Paperchase” is a secondary quest in the Blood and Wine expansion, set in Toussaint. A vineyard owner says he deposited money for Geralt at Cianfanelli Bank to repay him for earlier help; Geralt must navigate the bank’s paperwork to collect it. Gamer Guides places the vineyard owner northwest of the armorer shop and the bank west of the Gran’place signpost. Gamer Guides’ walkthrough describes the route through Form 202, Permit A38 and the bank staff.

Optional bank interactions and rewards
The paperwork sequence has several side interactions. They can add experience or crowns, but the walkthrough does not report them as changing the final choice’s reward branch.
- Cutting in line: Geralt gets into a fight with a customer; Gamer Guides reports 100 XP for winning.
- Playing Gwent: A customer offers a game. Gamer Guides reports 50 XP and 2–50 crowns for winning. The game’s result does not change the customer’s practical advice.
- Cheering the teller: When asking for Form 202, Geralt can offer flowers, perfume or a flirtatious line. The walkthrough says all three cheer her; flowers additionally give 50 XP.
These are optional detours. If the priority is the largest reported final reward, the decisive action is still to give Cianfanelli a week.
