Short answer: Steam lists 16 GB RAM and specific minimum and recommended CPUs for The Relic: First Guardian, but its published requirements do not include a graphics card or storage target. That means the listed CPU and memory can help you compare your PC, but they cannot guarantee smooth performance. Here are the official specifications and what you can—and cannot—reliably do to assess your setup.
Official PC system requirements
The following specifications are shown in the game’s Steam system-requirements block, checked on October 7, 2026. The listing does not specify a Windows version.

| Specification | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor and OS architecture | 64-bit processor and operating system | 64-bit processor and operating system |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 7 4800H | Intel Core i5-12650H or AMD Ryzen 7 5800 |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Display note | Supports 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio | Supports 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio |
| Graphics card | Not stated by Steam | Not stated by Steam |
| Storage | Not stated by Steam | Not stated by Steam |
| Windows version | Not specified in the displayed requirements | Not specified in the displayed requirements |
Steam’s official store listing is the source for these requirements. Its omission of a GPU, storage, resolution target and frame-rate target is meaningful: there is no official graphics-card threshold here to compare against, and matching the CPU and RAM alone does not establish that a PC will run the game smoothly.
How to check whether your PC meets the published baseline
- Check the CPU model. Compare your processor with the minimum CPU listed above. The recommended tier names a higher set of models, but Steam does not provide a benchmark translating other CPUs into an expected frame rate.
- Check installed memory. Both listed tiers call for 16 GB RAM.
- Confirm 64-bit support. Steam specifies a 64-bit processor and operating system in both tiers.
- Account for your display. The listing notes support for 21:9 ultrawide displays. It does not state a resolution or performance target for that aspect ratio.
- Treat GPU and storage as unknowns. The listing provides no minimum or recommended graphics card, VRAM amount, storage type or storage capacity. You cannot make an official pass/fail comparison for those components from the published requirements.
What settings can improve performance?
The available official information does not establish a universal graphics preset or a set of confirmed in-game controls for improving frame rate. Do not assume that options such as DLSS, FSR, XeSS, frame generation, shadows or motion blur are exposed in the current build; their availability is not established by the sources cited here.

If performance is poor, use the settings that are actually visible in your installed build and change one at a time so you can tell whether it helped. Record the game build, resolution, aspect ratio and setting changes alongside what you observe. This is a practical way to troubleshoot your own PC, not an official recommended configuration or a guarantee of a particular frame rate.
SteamDB metadata identifies graphics SDKs, but that does not prove that a corresponding upscaler is available as a user-selectable setting. The same metadata says the game’s graphics settings cannot be configured to run well on Steam Deck; it should not be read as a PC GPU requirement or as a performance guarantee for another device. SteamDB also lists full controller support, which is an input feature rather than a performance setting.

Performance updates and player reports
On the Steam page checked October 7, 2026, developer Project Cloud Games said its focus was on fixing technical issues and performance and reported that it had released 18 patches. The page also described another patch as in progress. These are changing store-page statements, not a promise that a particular issue has been fixed or that performance will meet a specific target. Check the current Steam listing for the latest status.
Launch-day player posts dated July 31, 2026 include requests for more resolution and graphics options and an individual report using an RTX 5070. Such comments can describe one person’s experience, but they are not controlled tests and do not establish typical results, a suitable GPU tier or a reliable settings recommendation.

What is still unknown
The official Steam requirements do not give a graphics-card target, storage requirement, Windows version, resolution target or FPS target. The cited sources also do not provide repeatable game-specific benchmarks or official per-setting performance advice. Unreal Engine editor requirements are not a substitute for requirements for this game; likewise, general engine guidance about graphics drivers does not establish this game’s GPU support or a measured performance improvement.
For a meaningful PC benchmark, results would need to identify the GPU and VRAM, CPU, RAM, resolution and aspect ratio, graphics settings, game build or patch, average FPS, low-percentile performance or frame pacing, and the tested scene. Without those details, neither an isolated player report nor the published CPU/RAM baseline can answer how smoothly the game will run on a particular PC.
