It launched in March 2025 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s what to know about its story, editions, Japanese physical release, and where to find official updates.
What is The First Berserker: Khazan?
The game takes place on the continent of Arad, roughly 800 years before Dungeon Fighter Online. Its story follows General Khazan, who is falsely accused of treason and exiled to the snowy mountains. After surviving an incident there, he sets out on a journey of revenge. SEGA describes it as a hardcore action RPG focused on strategic combat against varied enemies and bosses. Is there a physical PS5 edition?
Yes, a packaged PS5 Standard Edition is documented for Japan. SEGA says it handles manufacturing and sales of the Japanese and Asian packaged release, while NEXON says physical copies are sold through select retailers. That evidence does not establish boxed availability in every country, so check a local retailer’s listing for region, language, and stock before buying.
SEGA lists the Japanese Standard Edition at ¥7,800 before tax (¥8,580 including tax). Those are Japan-specific launch prices, not a guide to current or international pricing. NEXON describes the Deluxe Edition as digital-only; do not assume its bonuses come in a boxed copy.

The official Steam Community news feed is a useful central source for developer updates and patch notes. Its feed includes March 2026 update information and an anniversary developer note. Patch posts caution that release timing may vary by platform, so a version or schedule shown there may not match every console at the same time. The published updates do not establish a long-term support roadmap; check the feed and your platform’s store for the latest available update.
