The Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Crew Motorfest is specified by Ubisoft to run at 1080p and 30 frames per second in both TV Mode and Handheld Mode. There is no publisher-confirmed 60 FPS option or Switch 2 performance/quality preset in the current official FAQ. That means the useful “best settings” are primarily about readability, motion comfort, controls, driving assists and display calibration—not unlocking a faster frame rate.
The Switch 2 edition launched on October 8, 2026. The guidance below separates settings Ubisoft documents for Motorfest generally from options confirmed specifically for Switch 2, so you can adjust what is actually present in your copy without relying on PC, PlayStation or Xbox instructions.

Switch 2 resolution and frame-rate specification
Ubisoft’s Switch 2 FAQ answers the central performance question directly: the game targets 1080p at 30 FPS in TV Mode and Handheld Mode. This is a publisher-stated output specification, not an independent frame-time test. No official Switch 2 page consulted for this edition lists a 60 FPS mode, a selectable performance mode, or a quality-versus-performance toggle.
| Item | What the official listings say | What that means when choosing settings |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution | 1080p | Do not expect a menu option to raise the game above the stated output target. |
| Frame rate | 30 FPS | Changing motion-blur or camera-shake options is for comfort and clarity; no source says either setting increases FPS. |
| TV Mode | 1080p/30 FPS | Compatible TVs can receive HDR output, but HDR does not change the stated frame-rate target. |
| Handheld Mode | 1080p/30 FPS | Use brightness and contrast adjustments for the built-in screen; do not assume HDR is available in handheld play. |
| Tabletop Mode | Listed by Nintendo as supported | Treat it as a screen-placement mode, not a separate graphics preset. |
The FAQ’s silence about additional graphics controls is not proof that the retail software has no other visual options. It does mean there is no verified basis for importing a “performance mode” guide from another platform or promising that a Switch 2 setting will produce 60 FPS.

What to change first: a safe order of operations
Because exact Switch 2 menu labels and locations have not been enumerated in the current official pages, use this order as a checklist rather than a claimed button-by-button path. Open the game’s own Settings or Options screens and confirm which labels appear in your installed build.
- Set the display for legibility. Start with the game’s brightness, contrast or gamma controls if dark roads, route markers or dashboard information are hard to distinguish.
- Calibrate HDR only when your display supports it. In TV Mode, use the game’s HDR controls together with the television’s HDR or console calibration. Stop when shadow detail, headlights and bright sky remain distinguishable.
- Reduce distracting motion. If the Switch 2 build exposes camera-shake and motion-blur toggles, disable or reduce them when they make turns or fast camera changes uncomfortable.
- Make the HUD readable. Enable a high-contrast HUD or turn individual HUD elements on and off if route information, speed or event prompts are competing with the scenery.
- Choose a camera and control scheme. Test the available camera types, remap controls if needed, and tune steering or camera sensitivity in small increments.
- Configure assists for your driving ability. Use the racing line and individual assists to manage difficulty. These options alter handling and information, not rendering performance.
- Verify the result in an event. Drive a short route in the same mode you normally use. If the image is readable and the controls feel predictable, further changes are preference rather than a hidden FPS improvement.
Visibility settings: brightness, gamma, contrast and HUD
Brightness, contrast and gamma
Ubisoft’s September 4, 2023 accessibility inventory for Motorfest describes brightness, contrast and gamma controls. If those controls are present in the Switch 2 edition, use them to solve a visibility problem rather than to make the entire picture as bright as possible. Raise shadow detail only until dark scenery separates from the road; excessive brightness can wash out headlights, skies and color cues.
There is no tested universal value for these sliders. Screen size, viewing distance, room lighting and the handheld display all change the result, so a setting that looks correct on a television may be poor in handheld play. Check a night drive and a bright daytime route after each adjustment.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteHDR calibration
Nintendo lists HDR output for compatible TVs. Ubisoft’s feature inventory mentions HDR brightness, black-point and white-point calibration. These facts establish that HDR-related controls may be worth inspecting, but they do not confirm identical menu labels or parity in the Switch 2 build.
HDR is display-dependent. Turn on HDR on the television and console only when the television supports it, then adjust the game’s black point until dark detail is visible without gray blacks. Set the white point so signs, clouds and reflections remain detailed instead of becoming a single bright patch. HDR does not raise the 1080p resolution or change the 30 FPS specification.

HUD contrast and element visibility
The same accessibility inventory describes a high-contrast HUD and toggles for HUD elements. If available, use high contrast when route arrows, speed information or event objectives disappear against scenery. Hide nonessential elements only after confirming that you can still find navigation, position and warning information during a race. HUD changes affect information density, not frame rate.
Motion comfort: camera shake and motion blur
Ubisoft documents camera-shake and motion-blur toggles for the game. On Switch 2, look for those options and treat them as comfort controls. Turning camera shake down can make collisions, jumps and aggressive camera movement easier to follow. Disabling motion blur can make signs and scenery appear crisper during pans.
Neither option is documented as a performance setting for Switch 2. If the game remains a 30 FPS title, removing blur does not create a 60 FPS mode. Make one change at a time and drive the same route so you can tell whether the change improves comfort or merely changes the visual style.
Camera and controller setup
Choosing and changing the camera
Ubisoft support documentation indicates that players can change the camera type. The available camera views and their exact Switch 2 menu path are not enumerated in the current product pages, so do not rely on a platform-specific shortcut from an older guide. Inspect the in-game camera or controls section, select a view that keeps the road and surrounding traffic visible, then test it in both normal driving and tight turns.
Remapping, sensitivity and analog feel
Ubisoft’s accessibility feature list includes flexible, remappable controls, sensitivity options and analog/digital flexibility. If your steering feels twitchy, lower sensitivity in a small step and retest; if the car responds too slowly, increase it gradually. Keep steering and camera changes separate so you know which adjustment solved the problem.

Vibration is adjustable as well. Reduce vibration if long sessions cause fatigue or if frequent road feedback masks audio cues. A Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller is listed as supported; using one can change comfort and button feel, but it does not alter resolution or frame rate.
Racing line and driving assists
Racing line
Ubisoft Ivory Tower project coordinator Anthony De Rueda said the upgraded racing line was designed to communicate the route, ideal speed and optimal trajectory, rather than merely pointing toward the next checkpoint. If the line is available in your build, it is useful for learning unfamiliar roads and judging braking points. It is an information aid, not a graphics optimization.
Individual assists
Ubisoft describes configurable auto-steering, auto-braking, traction control, ABS, counter-steering and drift assistance. Start with only the aids that address a specific problem:
- Auto-steering: useful when route following is difficult, but it reduces direct control.
- Auto-braking: helps prevent missed corners while learning an event.
- Traction control and ABS: can make acceleration and braking more forgiving.
- Counter-steering: helps correct slides but may feel intrusive to experienced drivers.
- Drift assistance: supports controlled slides; disable it when practicing manual drift timing.
These settings change handling and difficulty. There is no evidence that enabling or disabling an assist changes Switch 2 rendering performance.
HDR and TV setup without chasing nonexistent performance modes
For TV play, first select the console and television input that supports HDR, then let the TV switch to its HDR picture mode if it does so automatically. Use the game’s calibration controls only after the TV has detected HDR. Compare a dark scene, a sunlit road and a bright sign. If any of those lose detail, recalibrate rather than increasing every slider.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
For handheld play, use the screen’s brightness and the game’s SDR controls. Nintendo’s listing confirms compatible-TV HDR output, but it does not promise HDR in handheld mode or identical behavior on every television. Do not treat a brighter HDR image as evidence of higher resolution or a faster frame rate.
Installation and online requirements before troubleshooting graphics
The Switch 2 release requires a Ubisoft account and a persistent internet connection. This requirement can affect whether you reach the game or online events, but it is separate from the 1080p/30 FPS output specification.
The physical edition is a game key card that requires a download. Nintendo of America lists the game file size as 58.5 GB. Ensure the console has sufficient storage and a reliable connection before judging loading behavior or assuming a graphics setting is missing. The listed release date is October 8, 2026.
Cross-progression and cross-save are supported across supported platforms, according to Ubisoft. Purchases made through other platform storefronts do not transfer to Switch 2, so ownership of add-on content elsewhere should not be used to diagnose a missing Switch 2 item.

Troubleshooting by symptom
“I cannot find a performance mode or 60 FPS option.”
That is consistent with the current official information. Ubisoft specifies 1080p/30 FPS for both TV and handheld modes and does not list a Switch 2 quality/performance selector. Check for updates, but do not expect a setting to unlock 60 FPS unless Ubisoft documents one.

- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
“The picture is too dark or washed out.”
Confirm whether the TV is in HDR mode, then recalibrate the game’s brightness, black point and white point if those controls are present. In handheld mode, adjust screen brightness and the game’s SDR controls. Use a night route and a bright route to verify both ends of the range.
“Motion makes me uncomfortable.”
Disable camera shake and reduce motion blur if those toggles appear. Consider a less aggressive camera view and lower vibration. These changes target comfort; they do not promise higher FPS.
“Driving feels too difficult or unpredictable.”
Turn on the racing line, then add only the assist you need—such as auto-braking for corner entry or traction control for wheelspin. Lower steering sensitivity if small stick movements cause large corrections. Re-test after each change.
Recommended Free Tools
“The game will not start after inserting the physical copy.”
The physical release is a key card, not a complete offline cartridge installation. Connect the console to the internet, sign in to the required Ubisoft account and allow the approximately 58.5 GB download listed by Nintendo. Persistent internet access remains required for play.
What you can and cannot optimize on Switch 2
| Goal | Settings to inspect | Evidence-based expectation |
|---|---|---|
| Clearer dark scenes | Brightness, contrast, gamma, HDR black point | Can improve readability when correctly calibrated; no fixed values are verified. |
| Less visual discomfort | Camera shake, motion blur, vibration, camera type | Comfort and clarity changes; no documented FPS gain. |
| Easier navigation | High-contrast HUD, HUD toggles, racing line | More readable route and race information; no rendering change. |
| More predictable handling | Sensitivity, remapping, analog/digital options, assists | Changes control feel and difficulty; no resolution or frame-rate change. |
| Higher frame rate | No confirmed Switch 2 setting | Ubisoft’s stated target remains 30 FPS in TV and handheld modes. |
The practical approach is therefore simple: calibrate the display, remove motion effects that bother you, configure controls and assists for the way you drive, and judge the result in a real event. Those are the adjustments the available evidence supports; a fictional “best performance preset” would promise more than the Switch 2 documentation establishes.
