In The Crew Motorfest, start by finishing the introduction and playing a Playlist: these themed campaigns teach different styles of driving, and some events loan you a vehicle. Then mix Playlist events with free-roam challenges, check your garage as rewards arrive, and follow the activities and live rewards that suit you. Bucks come from activities and rewards, but Ubisoft does not publish a current, comparable payout table that establishes one universally best way to earn them.
What to do first
- Finish the introduction. It gets you into the game’s main activities and is a prerequisite for accessing multiplayer modes, according to Ubisoft Help.
- Choose an accessible Playlist. Playlists are themed collections of races and other driving challenges. Some events provide a loaned vehicle, so you can try an activity without first owning its featured car. Ubisoft’s starting guide also explains that completed events can be customized for replay.
- Alternate structured events with exploration. Playlists give you a clear sequence; free roam lets you discover island activities and complete challenges at your own pace.
- Check your garage when rewards come in. Parts and vehicles can change which events you are prepared for. Ubisoft recommends using Fast Fav to swap vehicles quickly while driving.
How progression is organized
Ubisoft’s progression explainer describes four Main Stage tracks. The three main tracks—Revisit, Compete, and Explore—connect to different ways of playing; Legend becomes available after completing a main track. The explainer is dated September 14, 2023, so use the current in-game menus to confirm the live season’s exact objectives and rewards.

The 2023 explainer says the three main tracks reset monthly. At a reset, ranks earned on those tracks convert into Motorfest Levels and grant Legend Points, which can be spent on permanent stats and perks. Treat that as the documented system, not a guarantee of any specific current-season reward.
Explore activities to try
Explore includes free-roam feats and discoveries such as drifting, near misses, Speedtraps, Escapes, Slaloms, Photo Quests, and Treasure Hunts. These give you alternatives to repeating races and can contribute to rewards and progression.

How to earn Bucks
Bucks are earned through activities and rewards, including free-roam challenges and some competitive modes. The available official material does not provide a current side-by-side payout list or a verified Bucks-per-minute ranking, so there is no supported universal “fastest farm” recommendation.
- Follow rewards shown in the current event and mode menus rather than relying on an old payout claim.
- Choose activities you enjoy and can complete consistently; Playlist events, exploration challenges, and competitive modes offer different ways to play.
- Play with friends when convenient. Ubisoft’s September 14, 2023 starting guide says players earn bonus Crew Bucks for every event they complete together. It does not quantify a rate or establish that this is the best solo or group method.
When multiplayer and Main Stage open
Ubisoft Help says multiplayer modes become available after you finish the introduction and unlock at least one Playlist. It also lists Main Stage access after three Playlists. Console online play may require an active subscription from the relevant platform, so check the current platform rules for your console before planning a session with friends.

What may be different in the current season
Motorfest’s content changes over time. Ubisoft’s Season 11 patch notes, dated October 7, 2026, announce Kaua‘i Expeditions and the Tomb Raider: Secrets of Ni‘ihau Playlist. The Tomb Raider Playlist requires Year Pass 4 or standalone DLC. Those notes also announce a Nintendo Switch 2 release for October 8, 2026; on the date of the notes, that release was still upcoming. Check the live game page and in-game menus for current platform availability, Playlist access, and season rewards.
