The Advinsys TerraMow V600 can take routine mowing off your schedule without a perimeter wire: it maps the lawn with cameras, cuts in an orderly pattern and returns to its charging base. It is most convincing on established, clearly defined grass within TerraMow’s recommended 600 m² area. That convenience has limits: inspect the virtual map where lawns connect, expect to finish some edges yourself, and check the blade disc after a hard impact or stall.
What changes when a mower uses cameras instead of a boundary wire?
The V600 uses TerraVision 2.0, a triple-camera visual navigation system, and app-based mapping. It does not require a traditional perimeter wire, according to iTWire’s review, and its navigation is not based on RTK/GPS positioning. The manufacturer lists automatic AI mapping, 3D obstacle avoidance, Wi-Fi and cellular 4G connectivity, automatic recharging, rain detection and over-the-air updates.

In practice, wire-free setup moves some work from installing and burying a boundary cable to placing the base, connecting the mower and checking its digital map. T3 found the app setup straightforward, though its reviewer needed a firmware update before mowing. The exact setup steps and app labels can vary with software versions, so follow the current instructions for the mower rather than relying on a fixed menu path.

A camera-mapped boundary is not automatically the same thing as a property line. In its August 2026 review, Eftm reported that the first map included a neighbor’s connected lawn. The reviewer edited the map to correct it. If your grass joins a neighbor’s, a shared verge or another area you do not want mowed, inspect the mapped edge and adjust it before leaving the mower to run unattended.

How much lawn can the V600 mow?
TerraMow recommends the V600 for lawns up to 600 m². Its product page also lists 80–120 m² of coverage per hour, depending on lawn complexity, and 130–250 m² per full charge. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently guaranteed results for every garden. Shape, obstacles, narrow sections and the amount of time spent navigating can affect actual coverage.
The figures from one T3 test show why individual results should be read as lawn-specific observations rather than a benchmark. Reviewer John McCann reported mapping a 113 m² lawn in 17 minutes, then mowing 107.3 m² in 80 minutes on a separate first mowing run. Those measurements came from one property and are not directly comparable with the manufacturer’s rated coverage or other reviewers’ lawns.
Eftm described systematic back-and-forth mowing and mapped three areas around a corner-block home. The reviewer moved the mower manually to another area for spot mowing. That supports its usefulness across more than one lawn section, but does not establish that it will independently travel between separated sections.

What are the V600’s cutting and terrain limits?
The manufacturer lists a 203 mm cutting width and an electrically adjustable cutting height from 25 to 75 mm. The mower leaves the clippings on the lawn rather than collecting them, as T3 notes; it is designed for routine trimming, not for clearing a lawn that has become heavily overgrown. T3 advises starting with grass no longer than 9 cm and clearing toys and debris before a mowing run.
iTWire recommends the V600 for established lawns with reasonably continuous, clearly defined grass. It cautions that newly laid turf may not provide a dependable setting for visual navigation, and that strips narrower than the mower’s 20.3 cm deck are a poor fit. A manufacturer-rated maximum slope of 18° (32.5%) is a specification, not proof that every slope, surface or damp condition will be handled reliably.
Expect to finish some edges
T3’s reviewer found the edge mode improved some borders but did not cut flush against fences, and still recommended a strimmer for a neat finish. iTWire says the edge offset is adjustable by up to ±15 cm. That setting can help the mower work closer to a boundary, but it does not make the V600 a substitute for trimming right against every fence or wall.

Obstacle avoidance is not a reason to leave the lawn unprepared
T3 reported that the mower navigated around flower beds, fences and a tree, but occasionally made light contact with a patio pot. Remove loose objects and toys before mowing, and keep an eye on obstacles that could be struck, shifted or caught under the mower.

The V600 uses a blade disc, and the manufacturer includes a nine-piece blade kit in the box. T3 reports a recommendation to replace blades every eight weeks; treat that as the review’s reported guidance, not a universal interval that overrides the mower’s current manual. Cutting conditions and wear matter, so inspect the blades regularly and replace damaged or blunt ones with compatible parts.
Eftm’s reviewer reported two occasions when a blade and screw came off the disc after the mower hit an obstacle. That is an individual reviewer’s experience, not a measured failure rate. After a hard impact—or if the mower becomes stuck—stop it and check underneath for missing or loose blades and hardware before restarting.

Is the TerraMow V600 worth considering?
Consider it if you want routine mowing automated, do not want to install a perimeter wire, and have an established lawn with clear boundaries that fits within the recommended area. The camera mapping and systematic mowing received positive hands-on comments, but the evidence comes from reviews of individual properties rather than a controlled comparison.

Look elsewhere—or plan on extra manual work—if your lawn has newly laid turf, many narrow strips, boundaries that are hard to distinguish from neighboring grass, or edges that must be cut perfectly flush. You will also need to prepare the lawn, maintain the blade system and deal with any separated sections that require manual repositioning. The overall proposition is convenience, not a completely hands-off replacement for every part of lawn care.
