As of October 13, 2026, the latest published results cover different quarters: TCS has reported Q2 FY27, while Infosys has reported Q1 FY27. Infosys listed October 23, 2026 as the tentative date for releasing its September-quarter results, so the available figures are not a same-quarter head-to-head comparison. TCS reported a Q2 FY27 dividend of ₹12 per share; Infosys’s latest documented completed dividend was ₹25 per share for FY26. Neither per-share amount alone tells you which stock has the higher dividend yield.
What the latest results show—and why the periods do not match
The figures below come from company disclosures. TCS’s Q2 FY27 quarter ended September 30, 2026; Infosys’s Q1 FY27 quarter ended June 30, 2026. Compare them as separate snapshots, not as proof that one company outperformed the other in the same quarter.

TCS figures are from its October 8, 2026 Q2 FY27 release. Infosys figures are from its Q1 FY27 audited results, published July 23, 2026. TCS reports these revenue figures in US dollars and also provides constant-currency growth; Infosys’s cited figure is in rupees. Do not compare the raw revenue amounts without converting currency on a stated basis and aligning the reporting period.
How to compare quarterly results fairly
1. Match the quarter, financial scope, and accounting basis
First align the fiscal quarter and end date. Use consolidated results for both companies, rather than comparing one company’s consolidated figures with the other’s standalone figures. Check that the accounting measures have the same meaning before drawing conclusions.

2. Separate sequential growth from year-over-year growth
Sequential growth compares a quarter with the immediately preceding quarter; year-over-year growth compares it with the same quarter a year earlier. Both can be useful, but they answer different questions. For a services company, currency movements can also make reported growth differ from constant-currency growth, so label the basis rather than treating the rates as interchangeable.
3. Read revenue, margins, profit, EPS, and cash together
Revenue growth shows the change in sales, but not how much of that revenue becomes profit. Operating margin measures operating profitability as a share of revenue; net margin does the same for net profit. EPS expresses profit per share and should be compared on the same basic or diluted basis. Operating cash flow adds another perspective on cash generation; TCS’s reported 102.2% conversion is the company’s Q2 ratio of operating cash to net income, not a promise that the ratio will recur.

A single quarter is a snapshot. For a view of durability, compare several aligned quarters and fiscal years, using consistent definitions and noting any exceptional items disclosed by the companies.

Which company pays the higher dividend?
On the cited per-share amounts alone, Infosys’s documented FY26 final dividend of ₹25 exceeds TCS’s Q2 FY27 dividend of ₹12. That is not a like-for-like comparison: one is an annual final dividend and the other is a quarterly interim dividend, and they relate to different fiscal periods. It does not establish which company has the higher dividend yield or total annual payout.

TCS’s dividend amounts and dates are listed in its official dividend history and Q2 release. Infosys’s FY26 final dividend and Q1 status appear in its Q1 FY27 results advertisement.
Do not add dividend amounts without checking the fiscal-year treatment
TCS’s history includes interim and final dividends associated with different quarters and fiscal periods. Before summing amounts into an annual total, verify which financial year each payment belongs to and whether the figure is an interim, final, or special distribution. A quarter’s dividend is not necessarily a separate indication of a recurring future payout.

Dividend per share is not dividend yield
Yield requires a share price and a defined period. If you calculate it, state the share price and date, specify whether you use a trailing paid dividend or an announced annualized amount, and divide the corresponding per-share total by that price. The company materials cited here do not establish a comparable forward dividend yield. A past dividend does not guarantee a future dividend or investment return.

Infosys’s investor FAQ listed October 23, 2026 as the tentative release date for results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The date was scheduled, not a published result as of October 13. Infosys says it generally declares an interim dividend in October alongside Q2 results and recommends a final dividend with annual results; that describes a historical pattern, not a guarantee of a dividend or its amount. - Compare consolidated figures on a consistent accounting basis and currency basis.
- Label sequential, year-over-year, reported-currency, and constant-currency growth separately.

- For dividends, record the type, amount per share, fiscal period, record date, and payment date.
