Which Taeyangcho gochujang is recalled?
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warning, published and last updated October 3, 2026, identifies Taeyangcho Gochujang (Hot Pepper Paste) recalled by HYMS Trading Ltd. The affected codes are all codes for the listed sizes where wheat is not declared on the label.

Why is the product being recalled?
The affected paste contains wheat that is not declared on its label. CFIA classifies the hazard under wheat and gluten allergens and assigns the recall Class 1. For people with a wheat allergy or sensitivity, or celiac disease or another gluten-related disorder, consuming an affected product could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

What should you do if you have a jar?

- If your product matches, do not eat it or serve it to anyone. Do not sell or distribute it.
- Throw it out or return it to the place where you bought it, as CFIA instructs.
What CFIA says about the investigation
The recall followed a consumer complaint. The notice reported no associated reactions as of its October 3, 2026 publication and update. CFIA said it was investigating and verifying that the affected product was removed from the marketplace; the investigation could lead to further recalls.
