Short answer: T-Mobile’s advertised plan price may not be your full bill. Current postpaid plan examples list per-line prices for three lines with AutoPay and say taxes and fees are extra; prepaid plans have separate AutoPay terms, including a higher first-month price in the examples shown. Your final total depends on your plan, line count, location, eligible discounts, and any optional or per-use services.
Are taxes and fees included in T-Mobile’s plan prices?
Not always. T-Mobile’s current consumer page displays Experience Beyond at $56.67 per phone line per month, Experience More at $46.67, and Essentials at $30, each framed as a three-line price with AutoPay and listed “plus taxes and fees.” These are examples for that line count and payment condition—not quotes for every account or a single-line price. Check the exact plan details before comparing its advertised amount with another carrier’s total.

Taxes and fees can depend on the plan and location. For example, T-Mobile’s add-a-line page gives an Essentials-specific example of a $3.49 monthly Regulatory Programs Fee and Telco Recovery Fee total per voice line, plus taxes and fees described as approximately 4–38% of the bill. That example is not a universal estimate: do not apply it to other plans or locations. T-Mobile’s add-a-line pricing provides the plan-specific context.
Older plan documents may use different pricing or tax language. For a current decision, rely on the details for the plan you are considering and the total shown in your account checkout, rather than carrying terms from an older plan forward. T-Mobile’s current consumer plans show the present examples.

How does AutoPay affect the price?
AutoPay pricing and eligibility are product-specific. T-Mobile Prepaid’s current page says the displayed monthly discount is $5 per account, requires a bank account or debit card, and applies beginning in the month after enrollment. That means the first month can cost more than later months even when you enroll in AutoPay.
The prepaid page lists these examples, all plus taxes and fees:

| Starter Monthly | $40 | $45 |
| Unlimited Monthly | $45 | $50 |
| Unlimited Plus Monthly | $60 | $65 |
These are prepaid-specific prices and terms from T-Mobile Prepaid; do not assume the same payment method rules, discount amount, or start date apply to a postpaid plan. Check the terms for your exact plan and confirm that your payment method qualifies.
What extra charges can appear on the bill?
Beyond the plan price and applicable taxes and fees, the amount due can change with per-use charges, plan add-ons, and third-party services. T-Mobile’s plan and guarantee terms identify these as charges separate from the eligible base service. Their exact availability and prices vary by account, and the cited pages do not provide a complete current catalog. Review the plan details or account checkout before adding a service.

- Taxes and fees: Check whether the named plan includes them; current examples above say they are additional.

Does T-Mobile’s price guarantee cover the whole bill?
No. T-Mobile says its five-year guarantee applies to the price of eligible on-network talk, text, and 5G data service. Its terms exclude taxes and fees, per-use charges, plan add-ons, third-party services, and network-management practices. A guarantee on eligible service pricing therefore is not a promise that your total bill can never change. See the terms on T-Mobile’s consumer plans page, T-Mobile Prepaid, and the Experience plan comparison.

How to find your likely total
- Confirm the plan and line count. A per-line price based on three lines is not a one-line quote. Use the same number of lines when comparing options.
- Check the tax wording. Look for whether the current plan price includes taxes and fees or lists them separately.
- Verify AutoPay terms. Check the qualifying payment methods, discount amount, and when the discount begins for that exact plan.
- Review added services. Check for add-ons, third-party services, and any per-use charges that apply to your account.
- Use your account’s total. The checkout estimate and your bill reflect account-specific details more reliably than a generic tax percentage or advertised per-line price.
