What the PBT7000SS offers
CHOICE lists the PBT7000SS as a standard blender with a 2 L jug and 1100 W power. The same specification listing gives its noise level as 77 dB, dimensions as 43 × 19 × 21 cm, blender weight as 3.3 kg and jug weight as 1 kg. Its controls offer a range of preset and manual options. Sunbeam’s guide describes five food modes—Milkshake, Juice, Smoothie, Salsa and Frozen Drink—plus Thick or Thin beverage textures and Chunky or Smooth food textures. How ActiveSense and the accessories work
Sunbeam describes ActiveSense as adjusting blending speed, blade direction and run time during Food Mode operation. The guide also says the blender may stop and notify the user if it detects insufficient liquid. These are manufacturer descriptions of intended operation, not independent test results.

The guide identifies a six-point reversing blade system, a break-resistant BPA-free Tritan jug and a Blend-N-Go bottle with a spill-proof drinking lid. The bottle has specific limits: Salsa mode is unavailable when it is fitted, and hot liquids must not be blended in it. If buying a used or open-box unit, check that the jug, lid, bottle and other listed components are actually included and in usable condition.
Is the Sunbeam PBT7000SS discontinued?
Yes. CHOICE labels the model discontinued, and Andoo’s product page says it is no longer available. Those listings indicate the model is not generally being sold as a current product through those sources; they do not rule out remaining stock or second-hand listings elsewhere. CHOICE’s page lists AUD $449, but the figure should not be treated as a current offer. Availability, asking price, seller terms and any warranty on a particular unit need to be verified directly. Andoo’s page summarizes a one-year manufacturer warranty, but an old retailer listing does not establish that coverage applies to a used unit or remains available for a new purchase.
What performance evidence is available?
CHOICE’s public listing withholds its Expert Rating and task scores for performance and ease of use behind member access. The available public information therefore does not establish how well this blender handles particular jobs such as crushing ice, blending fibrous ingredients, making nut butter or processing soup. Its wattage and list of modes describe specifications and controls, not verified results.

Some reviewers describe satisfactory everyday blending, useful modes or easy cleaning; others report a Blend-N-Go cup activation issue or operation interrupted by the jug’s position on the base. What to check before buying
- Confirm the model: Check that the label or listing says PBT7000SS; do not assume a similarly named Sunbeam blender has the same controls or attachments.
- Inspect included parts: Verify the 2 L jug, its lid and the Blend-N-Go bottle and drinking lid are present if the listing claims they are. Ask about cracks, leaks, blade condition and whether the jug locks and sits correctly on the base.
- Test the controls and fit: If possible, test the base with the jug and bottle as applicable, and check that the controls respond. Owner reports identify the cup activation and jug/base position as things worth checking, but do not establish a common defect.
- Check seller terms: Confirm the actual price, return window and any warranty that applies to that specific sale. Do not assume a warranty summary on an old retailer page covers a second-hand blender.
- Ask about replacement parts: The guide names components including the jug, sealing ring and threaded jug bottom, but current standalone availability and compatibility were not established. Verify parts for this exact model rather than assuming a generic replacement will fit.

When comparing it with another blender, look beyond wattage and program count. Compare independently tested results for the tasks you actually do, jug and travel-vessel capacity, noise, cleaning, safety limits, current price, availability and parts support. For this model, specifications and controls are documented, but public controlled task scores and a current cross-retailer price comparison are not established.
