What the CM2000 booklet says the machine includes
Sunbeam’s 2015 instruction booklet covers the CM2000, CM2000R, and CM2000W. Its feature list specifies a “19 BAR electromagnetic pump,” single- and large-cup buttons, a removable water tank, and automatic deposit of used capsules into a collection container. These are manufacturer-listed features, not independently verified measurements or test results. The booklet does not report beverage temperature, extraction consistency, noise, durability, or comparative taste.
Which capsules can you use in a Sunbeam CM2000?
The booklet lists these capsule systems: Nespresso and Nespresso-compatible, Caffitaly, Lavazza A Modo Mio, and Expressi. The machine uses a dedicated capsule holder and a pressure wall for the selected system. Both parts are color-coded and must match; Sunbeam warns that the machine will not work if they do not.

The manual says the Nespresso cartridge is already inserted when supplied. Its system-level compatibility list is not a guarantee that every capsule marketed under one of these names will fit. Check the specific capsule and the holder/pressure-wall combination required for it. Sunbeam also states that the owners of the capsule-system trademarks have no connection with Sunbeam and have not endorsed the machine or its accessories.
How to change the capsule holder
- Open the machine handle.
- Turn the installed capsule holder anti-clockwise to unlock it, then lift it out.
- Select and install the holder for the capsule system you want to use.
- Rotate the holder clockwise until it locks into place.
- Before closing the handle, check that the pressure wall’s color matches the holder and that the holder is locked.
The color match is a functional requirement, not just a visual guide. Do not close the handle until the holder is locked and the matching pressure wall is in place.

Cleaning and descaling
After use
Before cleaning, switch off and unplug the machine. The booklet’s cleaning steps include removing and rinsing the drip tray and drip plate, emptying and washing the used-capsule container, and wiping stains with a soft damp cloth and gentle, non-abrasive dish soap. Machine parts are not dishwasher safe.

Descaling
Sunbeam recommends descaling monthly. The booklet does not name a specific descaling chemical or approve a branded product, so follow current instructions for the machine and any product you consider rather than assuming a particular descaler is endorsed.

The 2015 booklet states a 12-month replacement-or-repair warranty and says it is additional to rights under the Australian Consumer Law for Australian purchases and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act for New Zealand purchases. Treat this as what that booklet says—not confirmation of coverage for a current purchase, a used machine, or a unit sold in another region. Check current Sunbeam terms applicable to the machine’s purchase location and date.

The documented appeal is capsule-system choice: one machine is designed to switch among four listed systems by changing the corresponding holder and pressure wall. Before choosing it, confirm that the capsules you actually want are suitable for the matching components in your market, and that those components are included or obtainable. The booklet establishes the machine’s listed cup controls, removable tank, and used-capsule collection, but it does not establish current capsule costs, accessory availability, or present-day service support.
