Megh Shah’s StudySprint is a study-planning project designed to help students choose what to study first when several subjects, deadlines, and limited study time compete. Its description says it prioritizes tasks using the subjects, topics, deadlines, difficulty, and estimated time a user enters. The listed features and implementation details are the author’s claims, not independently verified results.
What this StudySprint project does
In the project description on DEV Community, Shah explains that StudySprint was made for a college friend who struggled to decide what to study first. The proposed workflow is to enter study tasks and their details, then use the app to produce a prioritized plan.

The description presents the project’s aim as spending less time planning and more time studying. That is the author’s goal, not a measured finding about how much time users save.

- Subjects and topics: what the student needs to cover.
- Deadlines: when each task is due.
- Difficulty: how challenging the student expects the task to be.
- Estimated study time: how long the student expects the task to take.
The author says AI-powered prioritization is designed around an open-weight model through Ollama. If AI is unavailable, the described fallback uses rules based on deadlines, difficulty, and estimated time. The source does not explain the exact weighting, ranking formula, or how a student can override a recommendation, so those details should not be assumed.
Features the author lists
Beyond generating a prioritized plan, the project description lists task completion and progress tracking, a focus timer, and local persistence. These are descriptions of intended or implemented features by the project author; the available account does not independently confirm how they behave in use.
Rank #2
- 52 Weeks Undated Planner : No preprinted fixed dates allow you to start planning at any week without wasting blank pages. You can pause recording and resume later freely, avoiding unnecessary page waste caused by interrupted use of dated planners.
- WEEKLY GOALS & FOCUS SETTING: Prioritize your core weekly objectives at the top of each page to clarify main tasks ahead of trivial affairs. This structure helps you cut down aimless busyness and keep your whole week’s work and life on track.
- DETAILED DAILY TO DO LIST: The page is divided into independent writing areas for Monday through Weekend. You can sort and record work assignments, study tasks and personal errands separately, so important schedules will not be forgotten or omitted.
- BUILT-IN HABIT TRACKER TABLE: Special grid area supports marking daily habit completion status, with columns for goal setting and weekly achievement statistics. It helps you intuitively track persistence progress without purchasing an extra separate habit journal.
- FLAT LAY SPIRAL BINDING: Double wire coil binding enables the planner to lie fully flat for smooth writing without flipping back. Compact lightweight body is easy to slip into backpacks and tote bags, suitable for office work, school study and travel arrangement.
What it is built with
Shah says StudySprint was built with ReactJS, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The description identifies Ollama as the basis for the AI layer and a rule-based method as the fallback. It does not establish which model is used, whether the app is currently hosted or publicly available, or what data handling or privacy protections apply.
What the project does not establish
The project description provides no measured learning outcomes, user study, or evidence that StudySprint improves grades, retention, or study efficiency. It is best understood as a planner concept intended to help organize and prioritize work—not as proof that a particular study method produces better results.

- Daily Study Planner: Allows you to schedule your study plan before the test or examination everyday, total 63 days in one notebook. Table 2 shows the details of how to use it.
- Kokuyo Original Base Paper: Making sure you have a comfortable and satisfying writing experience, and it's acid-free and resistant to bleeding, which is suitable for long-term storage.
- Wireless Binding: Solidifies your back with glue instead of thread, so it can be opened flat and not easy to fall apart. This makes every page easy to write and read.
- Tearing Resistant: The spine cloth is made with a special film laminated to the surface of the paper so it is resistant to tearing and abrasion.
- Unique Design: The cover is made with a shiny varnish, and inner paper desined with item columns are filled in the same color of the cover. It's dark gray ruled lines that doesn't interfere with writing.
There are other unrelated apps and projects called StudySprint. For example, a separate Devpost project describes turning a syllabus or topic list into a seven-day plan. That is not the Megh Shah project discussed here, and its features or claims should not be attributed to this one.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who may find the idea useful
The project is aimed at the practical planning problem of choosing among competing study tasks. Its described inputs may help a student make deadlines and estimated effort visible in one prioritized list. Whether that list is useful depends on the accuracy of the information entered and on whether the student finds the recommendations workable; the project description does not report user results.
