Strive, Inc. bought 2,000 bitcoin from September 28 through October 2, 2026, at an average price of approximately $84,422 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses. That works out to about $168.844 million, or roughly $169 million. Strive reported holding 29,462 bitcoin as of October 2, according to its October 5 Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The $169 million figure is therefore an estimate derived from Strive’s disclosed quantity and approximate average price, not a separately stated exact total. The filing does not say why Strive made the purchase.
How many bitcoin does Strive hold?
Strive reported 29,462 bitcoin held as of October 2, 2026. Its September 25 report showed 27,462 bitcoin, so the new 2,000-bitcoin purchase accounts for the difference between those dated totals. The two figures are holdings on their respective reporting dates, not a live balance.

Why is this described as Strive’s biggest Bitcoin buy in four months?
Decrypt described the purchase as Strive’s largest since an earlier purchase of 2,500 bitcoin between May 23 and June 1, 2026. That four-month comparison is Decrypt’s historical characterization; the October 5 SEC filing confirms the latest transaction but does not provide a complete purchase-by-purchase history. See Decrypt’s October 5 report.
How the purchase fits Strive’s reported Bitcoin treasury
Strive’s September 30 figures cover a different date from the October 2 holdings update. The company reported 28,000 bitcoin on September 30, with a fair value of $2.340192 billion. Its disclosed total treasury value that day was $2.675086 billion.

How the recent purchase compares with Strive’s reported costs
Strive reported that its 28,000 bitcoin held on September 30 had an average acquisition cost of $90,170 per bitcoin. Separately, it said it acquired 8,137 bitcoin during the quarter ended September 30 at an average cost of $78,885 each. Those are different measures and periods from the approximately $84,422 average price reported for the September 28–October 2 purchase; the figures should not be treated as interchangeable.
