The right choice between a PDP Riffmaster and a CRKD Gibson Les Paul depends first on your console and the exact controller variant—not simply on which one has the bigger discount.
An article dated October 6, 2026 reported an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days price of $89.99 for a PlayStation PDP Riffmaster, described as 40% off, and discounts of up to 30% across CRKD models. Those are historical sale claims, not current offers; check the live listing, stock, and Prime eligibility before buying. PDP’s product information and CRKD’s firmware notes are more useful for checking compatibility and setup than a past sale price.

Does a guitar controller work with Fortnite Festival?
Yes, if it is a supported controller. Epic says guitar controllers can play Festival’s Pro Lead and Pro Bass parts, as well as non-Pro parts such as vocals. For Pro parts to appear, connect a supported guitar and select an instrument part. If they are not displayed, check the game’s “Always Display Pro Parts” setting. Epic’s compatibility and display guidance is available in its Pro Lead and Pro Bass support article and instructions for showing Pro parts.

Choose the PlayStation Riffmaster if you have a PS5 or PS4

How to check a guitar before buying
- Identify your platform. Confirm the console or PC you intend to use, then select the matching controller variant. Do not infer PC support from a PlayStation or Xbox compatibility listing.
- Check the game listing. Look for Fortnite Festival compatibility for that exact model and platform. For PDP, the cited PlayStation product page names Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4.
- Check any required mode or firmware. If buying a CRKD Xbox model, consult CRKD’s current firmware notes and verify the controller can be set to Xbox input and Mode 1 for Festival Mode.
- Check the live offer. Compare the current price and stock on the seller’s listing. The October 6, 2026 prices and discounts may have ended, and Prime-member eligibility may apply to a particular offer.
- Confirm the features you care about. Verify whether the exact model is wired or wireless and whether its listing states battery life, app controls, or portability features rather than assuming those carry across the product family.
What to check if Pro parts do not appear
- Connect a guitar model supported by Fortnite Festival and select an instrument part; Epic says Pro Lead and Pro Bass should then appear.
- Review the “Always Display Pro Parts” setting if the parts remain hidden.
- For the CRKD Xbox setup documented by the manufacturer, check Xbox input and Mode 1 for Festival Mode.
- If compatibility remains unclear, verify the exact platform variant and consult Epic’s support information or the controller maker’s current product and firmware pages.
