StreamYard’s published prerecorded-stream limits are 2 hours and 10 GB on Core, 4 hours and 25 GB on Advanced, and 8 hours and 25 GB on Teams or Business. The feature is unavailable on Free. These are limits for the prerecorded video sent as a stream—not limits on how long an ordinary live broadcast can run.
StreamYard prerecorded video limits by plan
StreamYard’s help pages list the following maximums for prerecorded streams. The limits concern a video streamed from a prepared file to a destination such as YouTube.

StreamYard’s prerecorded streaming guide and file limits information describe the duration, size, and scheduling limits; its Free-plan feature information says prerecorded streaming is not included on Free. “Unlimited” in the table means no stated cap on how many prerecorded streams can be scheduled at once; it does not mean unlimited video length, file size, or platform capacity.

Core
Core fits a file no longer than 2 hours and no larger than 10 GB. It allows up to 5 prerecorded streams to be scheduled concurrently.
Advanced
Advanced raises the maximum to 4 hours and 25 GB, with up to 10 scheduled prerecorded streams at once.

Teams and Business
Both plans list an 8-hour maximum video length, a 25 GB file-size limit, and unlimited concurrent scheduled prerecorded streams. The published duration and file-size limits are the same for these two plans.
File requirements and playback controls
StreamYard’s prerecorded-streaming guide says the uploaded file must be an MP4 with H.264 video encoding. The maximum listed bitrate is 10 Mbps, and paid-plan prerecorded streams can be sent at up to 1080p. These are StreamYard’s stated requirements and output limits; they do not imply that a higher-resolution source will stream at its original quality.

Once the prerecorded stream is running, playback is automatic rather than a live studio session you control. You can view comments on the destination platform, but you cannot show comments on-stream or control overlays and media assets during playback. StreamYard also says prerecorded outputs are no longer automatically saved to its library; that statement concerns the prerecorded output, not other original StreamYard content.
Scheduling and YouTube links
StreamYard says a prepared recording can start automatically at its scheduled time even if you are not online. For YouTube, the shareable watch link becomes available at the scheduled announcement-post time. If you do not schedule an announcement, the link appears when the stream goes live, so you cannot share a destination watch-page link beforehand in that case. To have a link earlier, set the announcement time earlier than the stream time.

StreamYard’s general prerecorded-streaming and destinations articles say streams can be scheduled up to 365 days ahead. Its Business Plan Details page instead states a 90-day maximum for Business. Because those official pages conflict, do not rely on either figure as a definitive Business limit; check the scheduling options in your account or confirm with StreamYard support.
The guide also describes replacing the video before a scheduled stream begins and ending an active prerecorded stream early as supported workflow options.

Do not confuse prerecorded duration with live limits
The limits above are for the length of the prerecorded video file. They are different from ordinary live-broadcast duration, StreamYard recording storage, monthly streaming hours, and YouTube’s own recording behavior. StreamYard’s article on streaming and recording limits says paid plans have no StreamYard-side live-streaming hours limit, while destination platforms may impose their own limits. That article lists live-broadcast recording limits of 10 hours for Core, Advanced, and Teams, and 24 hours for Business; those figures do not extend the prerecorded video maximum.
Choose by length, file size, and schedule volume
- For a prerecorded video longer than 2 hours but no longer than 4 hours, choose at least Advanced, provided the file is within 25 GB.
- For a video longer than 4 hours and up to 8 hours, Teams or Business is required, with the same 25 GB file-size maximum.
- If your file exceeds your plan’s size limit, shortening the video may not be necessary if reducing the encoded file size brings it within the cap. Preserve the MP4/H.264 format and stay within the stated 10 Mbps maximum bitrate.
- If you need more than 10 prerecorded streams scheduled concurrently, the published table lists that allowance for Teams and Business, not Core or Advanced.
