Streamlabs has announced changes to several individual tools, but the notices do not say that Streamlabs as a whole is shutting down. They cover branding tools, Streamlabs Music, Link Space, Collectibles, and selected widgets. The dates for Streamlabs Music, Link Space, and the announced widget sunset have passed; the status of individual tools can differ, so distinguish each notice rather than treating them as one platform-wide shutdown.
This guide reflects the official notices available as of October 3, 2026. Trovo’s separate shutdown is included for context, not as a Streamlabs product discontinuation.

Is Streamlabs shutting down?
No platform-wide shutdown is established by the notices covered here. Streamlabs’ FAQ and getting-started guide describe other products and features, including Streamlabs Desktop and Mobile, video and clip editors, widgets, alerts, and tipping. The announcements concern specific tools and functions, each with its own timeline.
Which Streamlabs tools were announced for discontinuation?
Branding tools: June 2024 announcement
Streamlabs announced that it would discontinue YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, and Social Reminders. The announcement also named Fiverr for commissioned work such as stream graphics, logos, social media, and video editing. That was a service suggestion in the 2024 notice; it does not establish that any promotion mentioned at the time is still available.

Streamlabs Music: March 2025 announcement
Streamlabs said the app was removed from the Streamlabs Desktop app store on March 6, 2025. Existing users could use it through the end of March, after which it stopped working. The cutoff has passed, so the former app should not be treated as a working option.
Streamlabs named Pretzel and Slip.Stream as music alternatives available through its ecosystem. Its notice described Pretzel’s free and premium options and referred Ultra subscribers to Slip.Stream’s full collection. Check each service’s current availability, terms, and music rights before using tracks in new streams or recordings.

Link Space: October 2025 announcement
Streamlabs said Link Space would become inaccessible after November 8, 2025, and gave users 30 days to export or preserve links and useful analytics. That preservation window has passed. The notice recommended moving to another bio-link service or placing social links on a Streamlabs Tip Page, but it did not identify a specific third-party provider as a replacement.

- Game Widget
- Twitch Charity Donation Goal
- Facebook Supporter Goal
- Facebook Stars Goal
- Facebook Shares Goal
- Plarium Goal
The scheduled date has passed, but the notice alone does not verify the present availability of each widget. It did not announce the end of all Streamlabs widgets. Streamlabs listed these continuing goal-widget options: Tip, Follower, Sub, Bits, Super Chat, Streamlabs Charity Donation, and Tiltify Donation.

For Twitch engagement features, Streamlabs suggested its Twitch Extension as an option for users who had used Game Widget. The notice described the Extension as offering mini-games, loyalty points, polls, and more. Match any replacement to the platform and task you need: for example, a Twitch Bits Goal is a platform-specific goal option, not a general replacement for every Facebook goal.

What creators should do now
Check the affected tool, not just the Streamlabs brand
- Identify the exact product named in the relevant notice. The branding tools, music app, link hub, Collectibles library, and individual widgets have different changes.
- For a tool with a past deadline, check the current Streamlabs interface or support information before relying on it. A scheduled sunset is not, by itself, a fresh status check.
- For a replacement, verify it supports the same platform and function. A link hub, commissioned logo, licensed music source, and stream overlay solve different needs.
Preserve what matters and check usage rights
- If you still have exports, links, analytics, or project files from an affected service, keep local copies where possible. Link Space’s announced 30-day preservation window is over, so do not assume its data remains retrievable.
- Before using music in a new stream or upload, check the provider’s current license terms and the platforms and uses they cover. A statement about past Streamlabs Music content does not establish rights for other tracks or services.
- For commissioned branding, agree on deliverables and usage rights with the creator or service you hire. The 2024 Streamlabs notice named Fiverr, but did not establish current prices, terms, or availability.
Trovo’s shutdown is a separate event
Trovo’s live-streaming features shut down on June 30, 2026, at 00:00 GMT+8, according to Streamlabs’ June 2026 preparation article. That was a shutdown of Trovo’s platform, not a discontinuation of Streamlabs. The article said Trovo accounts, mini-game data, levels, and friend lists were to be retained, while VODs and chat history would be deleted after a legally mandated retention period. It did not give a precise deletion date for those VODs or chat records.
The article advised creators to secure Streamlabs access with a Streamlabs ID, download VODs, and direct viewers to other platforms. Because the shutdown date has passed, creators who used Trovo should check what account access and content remain available rather than assume old VODs can still be downloaded.
For a different need: keeping a YouTube stream running
Streamlabs’ discontinued tools above are not a service for keeping a prerecorded YouTube stream live. If that is a separate need, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos on YouTube: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It can run with your computer off, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Its first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
