Streamlabs Streamer University is a free-to-browse collection of streaming education articles, not an admissions-based course. To “join,” visit Streamlabs’ University hub, select Streamer University, and open a lesson. The official pages reviewed show no application form or admission criteria.

What Streamlabs Streamer University is

Streamlabs uses the name for a category of educational articles in its creator-resource hub. The collection covers topics including streamer types, choosing a platform, setting up a live stream, equipment, branding, growing an audience, building a community, gaming, monetization, and taxes. The listing’s first lessons are dated August 1, 2022; that date does not establish that every lesson or product detail has remained unchanged. Browse Streamer University on Streamlabs.

For practical setup guidance, Streamlabs’ Live Stream Setup Guide walks through choosing a platform, configuring streaming software, connecting accounts and equipment, and considering widgets, alerts, branding, and tipping tools. A camera, microphone, or particular add-on is not automatically necessary for every creator.

How to access the lessons

  1. Open Streamlabs’ Streamer University collection.
  2. Choose a lesson that matches your current question, such as platform selection, setup, equipment, branding, community, or monetization.
  3. Follow the lesson, then verify current requirements and settings with the streaming platform and software you plan to use; those can change.

Streamlabs Support also directs new streamers to Streamer University as a learning resource. Its support article, updated June 12, 2026 according to the search result, does not describe an admissions process. Read “New to Streamlabs? Start Here.”

Do you need to apply or pay?

For the Streamlabs collection, no application or admission criteria are shown on the reviewed official pages: access means opening the public lessons. Streamlabs describes its basic tool features as free and Streamlabs Ultra as an optional membership with added features such as multistreaming, VIP support, and premium overlays. The reviewed material does not say Ultra is required to read Streamer University.

Streamer University can refer to a separate event site

A separate website, streameruniversity.com, has an FAQ about applying to an event called Streamer University, including questions about dates, cost, roles, application videos, and acceptance timing. That FAQ does not establish a connection to Streamlabs. Do not treat its event or application information as instructions for accessing Streamlabs’ article collection.

For creators considering an always-on YouTube stream

If your goal is to keep uploaded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube stream rather than learn live-stream setup, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service: upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The stream runs from the cloud, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops it; the first day is free with no card. Try StreamNeo.
