If YouTube Music keeps playing songs you did not add after an album or playlist ends, check Autoplay. A 2022 YouTube Music Community answer from a Product Expert reported that you can open Up Next during album or playlist playback, scroll to the bottom of the queue, and switch Autoplay off. The interface may differ by app version or device, so treat that as a reported path rather than a guaranteed current layout.

If playback starts when a device connects
Queue Autoplay concerns what happens as a selected album or playlist finishes. It does not explain a car or Bluetooth device starting music immediately on connection. The same 2022 community answer points to a distinct setting named Allow external devices to start playback. Its current location was not confirmed in official help, and labels or placement may vary by version.
If the playlist order or contents are the problem
Shuffle and repeat affect playback behavior, while playlist editing changes what is in the playlist and its order. YouTube Music Help explains how to manage playlists, reorder songs, and change playlist privacy through the Library and playlist interface: Create or edit a playlist in YouTube Music. That help page does not confirm the current location of the Autoplay toggle.

If the queue appears shorter than the playlist, the available instructions do not establish Autoplay as the cause. Autoplay is the likely setting to inspect when extra songs follow the selected queue, not a confirmed fix for missing playlist tracks.
