To stop your Samsung phone’s rear camera light from flashing for alerts, open Settings > Accessibility > Hearing enhancements > Flash notification and turn off Camera flash notification. Turn off Screen flash notification separately if you also want to stop the display from flashing. These are independent settings.

Choose whether to disable the screen flash too
Samsung’s flash notification feature can use the camera light or the screen when notifications arrive or alarms sound. To stop screen flashes, switch off Screen flash notification as well. Leave it on if you only want to stop the rear light. Depending on your device and settings, you may also be able to choose which apps trigger a flash. Availability can depend on the phone model, according to Samsung UK’s accessibility information.
If the menu is in a different place
Samsung’s Hong Kong instructions place the setting at Settings > Accessibility > Advanced settings > Flash notification. Menu names and locations can vary by model, One UI or operating-system version, and country. If neither route matches your phone, search for “Flash notification” within Settings.

Flash notifications are not the regular flashlight
Flash notification is an accessibility feature that makes the camera light or screen flash for alerts and alarms. The ordinary flashlight is a separate control available from Quick settings; turning off flash notifications does not remove that control. If your flashlight says it is in use
A Samsung Community user with a Galaxy Z Fold6 reported that the flashlight was unavailable while camera notifications were using it. The accepted answer suggested turning off Camera Flash Notification under Settings > Accessibility > Advanced settings > Flash notification. This is one user’s report, not evidence that flash notifications are the cause of every flashlight problem or that this setting will fix them all. Read the Samsung Community thread.
