To remove “Sent from my iPhone” from messages sent with Apple Mail, open Settings > Apps > Mail > Signature and delete the text. If you send mail from the Gmail app, change its separate signature setting instead.
Remove the footer in Apple Mail
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Apps, then Mail.
- Under Composing, tap Signature.
- Delete “Sent from my iPhone” to remove the automatic footer, or replace it with the text you want.
- If Mail has more than one account, choose All Accounts to use the same signature for all of them, or Per Account to set signatures separately.

Change the signature in the Gmail app
Apple Mail’s setting does not control signatures added by the Gmail app. To change the Gmail app signature:

- Open Gmail and tap Menu, then Settings.
- Select the account you want to change.
- Under Compose and Reply, tap Signature settings.
- Edit or remove the mobile signature, then return to save.
Google says this signature applies to messages sent from the Gmail app. If you have not created a Gmail-app signature, new messages use the signature set on a computer. If you use multiple Gmail accounts, check each account’s setting. See Google’s instructions for creating a Gmail signature on iPhone and iPad.

If the text still appears
First check which app sent the message. If it was Apple Mail, review the account scope in Settings > Apps > Mail > Signature. If it was Gmail, check that account’s signature inside the Gmail app. These settings are separate, so changing one does not change the other.
