Facebook does not document a setting that turns off every friend request. To limit who can send one, change Who can send you friend requests? to Friends of friends. To stop a particular profile from interacting with you, block that profile instead.
Limit who can send you friend requests
Facebook’s Help Center lists two audience choices: Everyone and Friends of friends. Choosing the latter narrows the audience, but it is not a block on a named person if they remain within that audience. The documented options do not include Nobody.

- Open Facebook and select your profile picture or menu in the top right.
- Select Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Under Audience and visibility, open How people find and contact you.
- Select Who can send you friend requests?
- Choose Friends of friends.
Facebook documents these steps in its instructions for changing who can add you as a friend.

Block one specific profile
Use blocking when you want to target a particular profile rather than narrow the request audience for everyone.

- Go to Settings & privacy > Settings.
- Under Audience and visibility, select Blocking.
- In Block users, enter the profile name and select Block.
- Confirm the block when prompted.
You can review blocked profiles and unblock someone from the same Blocking settings area. See Facebook’s help pages for reviewing people you’ve blocked and blocking a profile or Page.
Which option should you use?

What blocking does—and what it may not cover
Facebook says blocking prevents many interactions. For example, the blocked profile cannot add you to a group or invite you to an event. You may still encounter content connected to that profile through mutual friends, photos or tags posted by other people, shared group contexts, or some external games and apps. A block also does not automatically apply to additional profiles the person may create. Facebook describes these limits in its guidance on content you can see from a blocked profile.

- Two Installation Option: Option 1 uses clear double side adhesive strips that securely attach to any computer screen. Option 2 (for computer screens with a raised bezel only) uses slide mount tabs that easily stick to the display frame, allowing you to take out the privacy screen filter easily as needed
Profile blocking and message blocking are separate controls. If your concern is specifically about messages, use Facebook’s message-related controls rather than assuming a profile block covers every messaging situation.

Facebook notes that some privacy settings can vary by profile type, and its help instructions do not establish identical menus for every account or app build. The Help Center pages cited here do not show publication or revision dates.
