Valve’s Steam Hardware listing says Steam Frame reservation sign-ups are open and shows prices for 256GB and 1TB configurations. That gives prospective buyers a current public route to register interest—not a guaranteed purchase, a personal invitation date, or a delivery estimate. Check the live Steam Hardware listing and your Steam account for your own status and any deadline.
What the current purchase window tells you
The listing’s “Sign-up for reservations now” message indicates that reservations are being accepted through the event page. It does not say when a particular person will receive an opportunity to buy or when an order would arrive. Valve’s Limited Drop terms say a purchase opportunity expires if it is not used by its stated deadline; check the terms and any account notice rather than assuming a reservation guarantees a unit.

Valve’s earlier timing statements describe launch windows, not individual orders. Its November 12, 2025 announcement said the hardware family was set to begin shipping in early 2026. On June 5, 2026, Tom’s Guide reported Valve’s later statement that Steam Frame and Steam Machine were “shipping this summer.” Neither statement establishes a specific buyer’s delivery date. Who qualifies under the stated Limited Drop terms
The eligibility conditions below belong to Valve’s described Limited Drop program; they should not be treated as universal requirements for every region or for any later purchase process. Valve’s terms specify that a participant must:
- Be a legal resident of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, an EU member state, or Australia.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have an unlimited Steam account.
- Have made at least one Steam purchase before April 27, 2026.
The terms also say that a purchase opportunity expires if the product is not bought by the expiration date. Review the current Limited Drop terms and the deadline in your own Steam account; eligibility alone does not establish when an invitation will arrive.

What Steam Frame is
Valve describes Steam Frame as a wireless VR headset with controllers, designed for VR and non-VR gameplay. Valve’s Steam Frame Verified program is described as helping customers understand a game’s out-of-box experience and how smoothly it runs without user work or configuration. A verified label should not be read as a promise of identical performance across every game, setup, or configuration. Valve’s Steam Frame listing · Tom’s Guide’s report on Verified
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to check your own reservation status
- Open the official Steam Frame listing and confirm that reservation sign-ups remain open and that your region is served.
- Follow the reservation flow shown on the live page, using the Steam account you intend to use for the purchase.
- Check that account for any reservation status, purchase invitation, or expiration deadline. Treat the account-specific notice—not a general launch-window statement—as the relevant source for your personal purchase opportunity.
- Before committing, verify the configuration, regional price, sales channel, and current terms on the official pages.
The available official listing and terms do not provide a buyer-specific invitation schedule or guaranteed shipment date. Reports about queues for other Steam products are not a reliable way to calculate when a Steam Frame opportunity will reach an individual account.
