The combat mission that follows the distress-call thread is a separate Hero Mission, No Clone Left Behind, where the objective is to rescue Sergeant Sawtooth on Ryloth.
Contact Sawtooth and No Clone Left Behind are different activities
The names are easy to mix up, but they refer to two stages of the thread:

The costs, cycle counts, location, operator requirement, and rewards above are transcribed from the Zero Command community wiki’s launch-build and HoloTable references, checked in August–September 2026. Treat them as reference data rather than guaranteed current values, and confirm the HoloTable display in your game.

- Go to the Den’s HoloTable. Check the available Operations and select Contact Sawtooth. Operations are non-combat assignments that spend Intel; tactical missions use operators in turn-based combat.
- Check the assignment details. The community listing gives Contact Sawtooth a cost of 50 Intel, a duration of three cycles, and a Comms approach requiring two operators. Use the current in-game listing if its details differ.
- Choose whether to commit now. A tactical deployment advances the campaign to the next cycle. Complete any Den activities you want to do first.
Prepare for the Sawtooth rescue mission
Before deploying to No Clone Left Behind, review which operators are healthy and available. StarWars.com describes mission difficulty as Risky, Dangerous, or Extreme; check the mission’s current difficulty and your squad’s condition before committing. The available mission listing identifies the location as Ryloth, Zone Isk, but does not establish a specific route or enemy formation.

Use the objective markers rather than guessing a route
Follow the objective panel and map markers during the rescue. StarWars.com guide author Kelly Knox explains: “Your objectives for the mission are listed in the top left and marked on the map. Complete these to successfully finish the operation!” The guide also cautions that clearing every enemy is unnecessary unless an objective explicitly requires it.
Spend operator action points deliberately
Each operator has three action points to move, attack, or use abilities. The official guide describes using cover, attacks, backup assists, overwatch, rallying injured operators, and Advantage-powered special actions. It also notes that damage is applied when an action is taken, despite the apparent exchange of blaster fire.

Restart if your approach fails
If a run goes badly, the official guide says you can restart the mission through the game menu and try a different strategy with the same operators.

What is not established about the rescue
The available mission references do not provide a verified turn-by-turn walkthrough, enemy positions, a recommended route, or branching outcomes for No Clone Left Behind. Use the live objective text and map in your game instead of relying on an unverified route. The references also do not establish that players can choose alternate outcomes in this thread.
