Prepare your squad before launching The Infinite Coil: it locks your party for a sequence of fights, and Hawks must survive. In the final operation, protect the terminal operator, use the opening rounds to weaken Tython’s droids before attacking him, and focus Fathom in both phases while keeping Hawks isolated in case she controls him. The encounter order and tactics below are reported by an AllThingsHow walkthrough updated August 29, 2026; they are guide-reported, not firsthand testing.
Spoilers: This guide covers The Infinite Coil, Tython, Fathom, and the campaign ending.

Prepare before starting The Infinite Coil
The Infinite Coil is the last operation. The walkthrough says it becomes compulsory after three cycles during the Fathom’s Grand Designs arc; launching it ends access to the Den and prevents changing your party. Use the available preparation time to improve bonds and upgrades, and settle your squad before you deploy.
Choose the squad around Hawks
Hawks occupies one of the four slots and must survive the operation. The walkthrough recommends Cly and Jae for their ability to contribute damage efficiently, then suggests a fourth operator based on whether Hawks can heal:

- Cly: Combat Jump combines movement with an attack, and area attacks help against groups of droids.
- Jae: Final Shot can finish a low-health enemy, potentially saving actions.
- Medic or Trick: Bring a medic if Hawks’s build does not provide enough healing. If healing is covered, the walkthrough recommends Trick for added damage.
Only Hawks’s presence and survival are required by the walkthrough; the other choices are recommendations, not a universally optimal roster.
Use the action economy deliberately
Zero Company is a turn-based tactics game. StarWars.com’s official gameplay guide says each operator has three action points (AP) to spend on movement, attacks, and abilities. Backup lets an ally contribute an attack; Overwatch can fire when enemies move or act within its area; and Advantage powers special actions. Xbox Wire also advises earning extra AP through abilities and assists, and spending Advantage proactively; its tips describe an Advantage cap of 10. These are general mechanics, not boss-specific guarantees.

Clear the security-terminal waves
Your first priority is to advance to the terminal and complete its process without letting enemies interrupt the operator working it. According to the walkthrough, an enemy reaching that operator interrupts progress, so keep a teammate close enough to protect them while the rest of the squad clears threats.
- Move toward the terminal. The walkthrough notes that Cly can Combat Jump onto nearby enemies and still reach the terminal in the same round.
- Cover the operator. Keep another operator near the person working the terminal, and leave the operator in place until the process finishes.
- Watch the left and upper doors. Reinforcements arrive from those directions. Thin the initial enemies and position for the incoming wave.
- Clear reinforcements promptly. The walkthrough reports that many droids can be defeated with one shot, making area attacks useful when enemies cluster. Do not let the wave build while the terminal is exposed.
Defeat Tython and his droids
Tython does not arrive at the start of the next encounter. The walkthrough reports three rounds to prepare while droids attack. Use that window to reduce their numbers, especially sniper droids, which grow stronger each turn and can deal heavy damage. Preserve some area attacks for later if possible.
Rank #3
- Command an elite squad through a gritty and authentic Star Wars story set in the twilight of the Clone Wars. Step into the role of Hawks, a former Republic officer leading Zero Company against an emerging threat that could consume the galaxy.
Thin the droids before damaging Tython
Attacking Tython triggers an immediate droid counterattack, according to the walkthrough. Remove enough of his allies first that the retaliation is manageable; then damage Tython when your operators can withstand the response. Healing support can make earlier attacks less risky, but it does not remove the retaliation mechanic.
The objective is to defeat Tython and all remaining allies. Killing the boss alone does not finish the encounter, so continue clearing the battlefield after he falls.

Focus Fathom through both phases
The final fight has two stages. Bring Fathom down to half health to trigger a cutscene, change the battlefield, and bring Bennic onto your side. In both stages, the walkthrough recommends concentrating attacks on Fathom instead of spending actions on her allies.
Keep Hawks out of reach
Fathom can control Hawks and turn him against the squad. Keep Hawks well away from Fathom and from other teammates so a controlled attack has no nearby target. After Bennic joins, he can heal Hawks.
Best Value
Concentrate damage after the transition
Continue focusing Fathom once the second stage begins. Cly’s Combat Jump and Jae’s finishing ability can help deliver damage efficiently. The walkthrough says a one-turn finish may be possible with the right setup; treat that as a possibility, not a guaranteed result. Defeating Fathom ends the mission and the campaign sequence covered here.
What to do if the fight feels overwhelming
There is no source-backed basis for calling the Expert fight impossible or for claiming one roster works best for every build. If you are struggling, revisit the parts of the plan that reduce avoidable pressure: complete bonds and upgrades before deployment, bring healing if Hawks cannot provide it, eliminate the growing sniper threat during Tython’s arrival window, and avoid triggering Tython’s retaliation until you have weakened his forces. StarWars.com’s guide also says the game includes an accessible difficulty setting, though it does not specify the menu path or difficulty levels on that page.
