Gather details before troubleshooting or reporting a problem
If the game stutters or crashes, record your CPU, graphics card, RAM, Windows version, whether it is installed on an SSD, graphics driver version, resolution, graphics settings, and when the problem occurs. Note whether it happens at startup, in a particular scene, or during online play, and capture the exact error text if one appears. These details help describe the issue; they do not point to a confirmed Galactic Racer fix.

The official information available before launch does not specify graphics settings to change, a driver rollback, shader-cache steps, launch options, a patch number, or a crash workaround. It therefore does not support promises that lowering a particular setting, disabling overlays, reinstalling the game, or upgrading a component will solve the problem.
What controller support is confirmed
Epic lists controller support, and Secret Mode’s FAQ confirms controller rumble across platforms. The FAQ also says keyboard and mouse can be used on PC. However, the published information does not name supported controller models or connect particular symptoms—such as a controller not being detected or incorrect inputs—to a known cause or remedy.

If a controller is not detected or behaves incorrectly
- Note your platform and, on PC, how the controller is connected.
- Check whether the operating system or platform client recognizes the same controller. This is a diagnostic check, not a game-specific fix.
- If you are on PC and can do so, try keyboard and mouse to determine whether the issue is limited to gamepad input.
- Record the controller model, connection method, symptom, and any error message. The official sources do not establish that Steam Input, a particular driver, wired mode, or switching controllers will fix the problem.
Features not listed as planned
Secret Mode says there are currently no plans for wheel support, HOTAS/HOSAS, full haptics, or resistance. If you are trying to use one of those features, its absence is not evidence that ordinary controller support is broken.

Understand Steam’s Epic Online Services prompt
Secret Mode says Epic Online Services (EOS) supports cross-platform play and cross-platform friend management and invites. On Steam, the game may prompt you to install the EOS redistributable if it is not already present; the FAQ says it is required for crossplay. It also says an Epic account is needed to manage non-Steam friends.

Keep those cases separate: the FAQ does not say an Epic account is required to own the Steam version or play the offline solo content. If you see an EOS redistributable prompt, note its exact wording and whether the problem is that the game will not launch, crossplay is unavailable, or non-Steam friends cannot be managed.
Check whether the problem involves an online-only feature
The publisher says the solo campaign, scenarios, and Arcade events can be played offline. Online multiplayer and connected Arcade leaderboards require an internet connection. This distinction can help identify whether a symptom is tied to connectivity, but the sources do not document a network troubleshooting procedure for Galactic Racer.

The official sources cited here do not specify a bug-report form or support workflow.
