The evidence available does not support a verified list of 19 live Squarespace lawyer websites. A directory updated August 9, 2026, says it covers 12 examples, but those individual sites have not been independently verified here. Rather than mix real firm websites with purchasable designs, this guide explains how to assess examples, what Squarespace offers for legal sites, and how to choose a template without mistaking a template roundup for a list of working law-firm websites.
What counts as a Squarespace lawyer website example?
A live example is a law firm’s published website that is currently accessible and built on Squarespace. A template is a design someone can adapt to create a site; it is not evidence that a particular law firm uses Squarespace. Keeping those categories separate matters: a polished template preview cannot establish how a real firm presents its services or handles client inquiries.

Create Today Digital’s directory, titled “Best Squarespace Law Firm Websites: 12 Examples (2026),” reports 12 examples and was updated August 9, 2026. The reviewed evidence does not verify that each underlying site remains live or is built on Squarespace, so it cannot support a definitive list of 12 confirmed sites—much less 19. See the directory as a starting point, then check each site directly before treating it as a current example.
How to evaluate a live law-firm website
Judge the site by how readily a prospective client can understand the firm and take an appropriate next step, not by appearance alone. Compare examples against the same practical criteria:
#1 Best Overall
- Practice-area clarity: Can visitors quickly tell what the firm handles? Look for distinct service or practice-area pages rather than a vague list of legal services.
- People and credentials: Are attorney and team biographies easy to find, specific, and current?
- Contact path: Is there a clear way to call, send an inquiry, or request an appointment? Check what information a form asks visitors to submit.
- Fit for the practice: Does the design and organization suit the firm’s clients and services, whether the practice is family law, real estate, business, criminal defense, estate planning, or another area?
- Maintenance: Are news, blog posts, attorney profiles, and contact details kept up to date?
These are evaluation criteria, not a claim that any particular example performs well or complies with professional rules.
What Squarespace offers for law-firm sites
Squarespace describes its law-firm templates and platform as supporting practice-area pages, attorney biographies, service menus, testimonials, contact forms, appointment scheduling, and secure client inquiry workflows. It also describes layouts as mobile-responsive and says the platform includes SEO tools and analytics. These are product descriptions from Squarespace, not independent findings about search rankings, security outcomes, conversions, or legal compliance. Review Squarespace’s law-firm template information for its current feature descriptions.
Rank #2
Corrigan: a template reference, not a verified firm site
Squarespace identifies Corrigan as a legal-services template, describing a layout with practice areas, attorney biographies, and contact options. It presents the design as adaptable for an individual attorney’s professional identity or a small practice’s team and services. That makes Corrigan a relevant template to inspect, but its existence does not establish that a particular law firm’s live website uses it. Squarespace says, “Every design is fully customizable.” See Squarespace’s professional-services examples.

Third-party template roundups discuss purchasable digital designs, not necessarily live client websites. Websites by Elise’s 2026 roundup lists Legal Edge, Elevate, Legal Eagle, Lawyer, Lora, Modern Wave, North, and Docket. It describes designs intended for law firms or professional services, with differing audiences and structures; for example, its descriptions position Legal Edge for firms and attorneys, Elevate for professional industries including lawyers, Lawyer for law, corporate, and consulting services, and Lora as a customizable Squarespace 7.1 design.

The roundup discloses affiliate links, so treat it as a commercial list rather than independent testing or a neutral ranking. Names, seller availability, features, and prices may change. Compare any candidate based on the pages it includes, whether its structure fits the firm’s actual content, what can be customized, and the work needed to keep the site current. Read the roundup and confirm current details with the seller.
Plan the site before building it
An Illinois State Bar Association-hosted guide by Morgan Germann and Jeffrey Schoenberger of Affinity Consulting Group recommends planning website content before choosing a builder. It identifies these pages as useful starting points:
Rank #4
- Portable and practical: With dimensions of approximately 5.5 x 8.3 inches, it provides ample writing space while being compact enough to fit into most bags. Perfect for use at home, while studying, or on the go.
- Protective Hardcover: The durable outer casing provides sturdy support and effectively deflects daily wear, ensuring your notes remain well-organized even during active or on-the-go use.
- Versatile Gift Choice: Its sleek and practical design ensures broad appeal, making it an excellent present for colleagues, students, or anyone who appreciates writing and maintaining organization.
- Smooth Inner Pages: The paper offers a uniform and polished writing surface, ideal for daily notes, journaling, or planning, ensuring a distraction-free experience with no texture interference or glare.
- User-Friendly Design: The spiral binding enables the notebook to lay completely flat or be folded backward, ensuring convenient use in confined areas or when only one hand is available.
- About: Explain the firm and its approach.
- Practice Areas: Describe the services visitors are seeking.
- Our Team: Introduce attorneys and relevant staff.
- News or Blog: Publish useful updates only if the firm can keep them accurate and current.
- Contact: Make the next step and contact details clear.
- FAQ: Address appropriate common questions without allowing general information to be mistaken for advice about a visitor’s specific matter.
The guide warns that stale blog content can harm recruitment and advises reviewing generated legal content carefully. A site builder can provide page structures and publishing tools; it cannot ensure that legal information is accurate, current, or suitable for a specific reader. Read the Illinois State Bar Association-hosted guide.
Check professional rules for the firm’s jurisdiction
Attorney advertising, testimonials, and disclaimer requirements vary by state and are updated periodically. The Illinois State Bar Association-hosted guide points readers to the relevant state bar as the authoritative source for applicable requirements. Before publishing claims about results, testimonials, attorney credentials, or disclaimers, check the rules that apply where the firm practices; a template’s built-in wording is not a compliance determination.
