Who was the event intended to reach?
The Linux Foundation’s 2026 sponsorship prospectus estimated an audience of 300 people. That figure is a planning estimate, not confirmed attendance. The prospectus identified these audience segments:
#1 Best Overall
- Developers
- API architects
- Product and technical leaders
- Enterprise and startup representatives
- Educators and researchers
- Data scientists
The prospectus framed sponsor value around reaching GraphQL developers and technical decision-makers. It also quoted a Gartner projection that more than 60% of enterprises would use GraphQL in production by 2027, up from less than 30% in 2024. This is the prospectus’s attribution of a Gartner forecast; the underlying Gartner publication was not independently verified here. Linux Foundation sponsorship prospectus

Rank #2
| Tier | Prospectus price | Examples of listed benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | $15,000 | Speaking opportunity subject to program approval, attendee passes, optional opt-in attendee contact information, exhibit presence, and prominent brand recognition. |
| Silver | $7,000 | Attendee passes, optional opt-in attendee contact information, exhibit and lead-retrieval benefits, and brand visibility. |
| Bronze | $1,000 | Logo placement and recognition benefits listed in the prospectus. |
Package benefits varied by tier. The prospectus also described social posts, keynote recognition, signage, marketing-table access, post-event reporting, and a custom survey question. It listed optional placements involving a conference T-shirt, breaks, session recording, lanyards, the attendee party, a job board, and cross-promotion of approved community events. These were historical sponsorship placements, not retail products or offers for a future edition. 2026 prospectus
What should a sponsor have compared?
For an organization assessing the historical 2026 packages, the useful comparison was not price alone. It was the match between the tier and the sponsor’s goals:
Rank #3
- Speaking: The prospectus allowed speaking opportunities, but content required program approval and had to be educational rather than promotional.
- Access: Compare included attendee passes and lead retrieval. Any attendee registration contact list was opt-in only, not an unrestricted attendee database.
- Presence: Consider exhibit space, marketing-table access, signage, and recognition on event materials.
- Follow-up: Review whether reporting or a custom survey question was included at the relevant tier.
- Audience fit: Evaluate whether the event’s stated developer and technical-leader audience aligned with the sponsor’s objectives.
These criteria describe the completed 2026 offer and do not establish what any later GraphQLConf edition will provide.

No. The event has taken place, and its listed packages and deadlines are historical. The prospectus versions give different sponsorship deadlines—April 3 and April 24, 2026—and both dates have passed. Because those versions also contain conflicting event details, use the post-event recap for the actual venue and completed sponsor roster rather than treating a prospectus as a current event listing.
The prospectus directed interested organizations to [email protected] and noted that sponsorship availability may vary. It does not confirm current packages or availability for a future edition. Organizations interested in a later event should check the GraphQL Foundation’s official event information for an updated offer. GraphQL Foundation event page
