Those numbers are reference points, not a controlled head-to-head test: results depend on the phone, cooling, software and benchmark version. Qualcomm publishes platform specifications for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, but the available figures do not establish a universal performance winner for every handset.
Benchmark comparison: which chip is faster?
The available CPU comparison favors A15 Bionic in both Geekbench 6 categories shown by NanoReview. Its reported AnTuTu 11 totals are nearly level, but NanoReview warns that iOS and Android AnTuTu results are not directly comparable. None of these figures comes from a controlled test of matching devices under identical conditions.

Why the Geekbench figures differ by source
NanoReview’s A15 single-core figure is 2,315. A separate Geekbench record for an iPhone 13 identifies the A15 Bionic and reports 2,285 single-core and 5,526 multi-core in Geekbench 6.7.2 for iOS AArch64. That one result was uploaded October 6, 2026; it is a single submitted phone run, not an A15-wide average. Geekbench says results from this legacy version can be compared only with other Geekbench 6 results and recommends Geekbench 7 for modern hardware.

Qualcomm’s generational performance claims
Qualcomm says the CPU offers 10% better performance and 30% improved power efficiency than the previous generation, with peak CPU speeds up to 3.2 GHz. It also claims the Adreno GPU has 10% higher GPU clock speed and 30% lower GPU power than its predecessor. These are Qualcomm’s claims about improvements over the previous Snapdragon platform, not measured comparisons against A15 Bionic.

CPU performance
Geekbench 6 separates single-core and multi-core workloads, and the NanoReview figures place A15 Bionic higher in both. They indicate how the listed comparison entries performed in that benchmark; they do not prove that every A15 phone will feel faster than every Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone in every task. A phone’s software, thermal design and power limits influence real results.
AnTuTu scores across operating systems
The NanoReview AnTuTu 11 totals are close, but the comparison page explicitly warns that iOS and Android scores are not directly comparable. Treat them as reported entries within that benchmark, not as a clean cross-platform ranking.

GPU, sustained performance and battery life
The available figures do not establish a controlled GPU comparison, sustained-load result, or battery-life winner. A GPU verdict would require identified tests, versions and APIs; sustained performance would require named retail devices and comparable test conditions. A chip’s peak capability alone cannot settle how long a specific phone maintains performance or how efficiently it uses its battery.

Which chip should you choose?
Choose by the phone, not by the processor name alone. The benchmark evidence gives A15 Bionic the edge in NanoReview’s Geekbench 6 CPU figures, but it cannot predict every device-level outcome. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 capabilities also vary by OEM implementation, including the listed 3.2 GHz and 3.0 GHz CPU versions.
Quick Recap
- If your priority is the reported Geekbench 6 CPU result, A15 Bionic is ahead in NanoReview’s listed single-core and multi-core scores.
- If you are comparing phones for gaming, long workloads or battery endurance, look for tests of the exact handsets; the figures here do not establish those outcomes.
- For connectivity or imaging features, verify the retail phone’s specifications rather than assuming every platform capability is enabled.
