Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 leads the AnTuTu 11 results reported by 91mobiles, but those figures are outlet-tested results—not universal chip scores or a controlled comparison of identical phones. The Tensor G5 figures come from Google Pixel 10-series devices, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a mobile platform used in handset-specific implementations. For a buying decision, compare the exact phones and their sustained performance, graphics, AI features, thermals and software—not a processor name alone.
What the comparison can—and cannot—tell you
Qualcomm presents Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 as a mobile platform, with features that include cellular technologies and Qualcomm AI/RF systems. Its product page describes platform capabilities; it does not establish how every phone built around the platform performs in everyday use. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 page.

The Tensor G5 results cited here are associated with Google’s Pixel 10 family. Geekbench’s Android chart lists Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro entries using Tensor G5, but a live chart is a changing collection of device results—not a controlled head-to-head using identical handset designs. Its entries are available in Geekbench’s Android benchmark chart.

A chip can perform differently depending on the phone’s cooling, power limits, memory configuration, software and benchmark conditions. A score from one device should therefore be read as a result for that device and test, not as a guarantee for every phone using the same platform.

Reported benchmark results
91mobiles reports the following comparison results. The AnTuTu figures are identified as its own testing; the comparison page’s reviewed material does not fully describe matched phone configurations and testing protocol, so these numbers should not be treated as a controlled laboratory comparison.
| Benchmark | Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 | Google Tensor G5 | How to read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 total | 3,098,258 — 91mobiles testing | 1,565,089 — 91mobiles testing | Outlet-reported totals; device configuration and protocol are not fully described in the reviewed comparison. |
| Geekbench single-core | 2,889 — 91mobiles comparison page | 2,344 — 91mobiles comparison page | Reported by 91mobiles; do not treat the pair as a controlled result without matched-device and protocol details. |
| Geekbench multi-core | Not stated in the reviewed 91mobiles passage | Not stated in the reviewed 91mobiles passage | The comparison page reports multi-core values, but the reviewed material does not establish the figures and matched test context needed to reproduce them here. |
The numbers indicate that 91mobiles’ Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 test result is higher in the listed categories. They do not establish the size of the difference under every phone design or workload. For current Geekbench device entries, consult the live Android chart; its displayed results can change over time.
Which areas matter beyond these scores?
CPU work
Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core results offer snapshots of CPU performance under that benchmark’s workloads. They do not by themselves predict every app, and the available outlet-reported pair lacks enough configuration detail to establish a like-for-like test. Check the exact handset and benchmark version before comparing scores.

Graphics and sustained gaming
The AnTuTu total is a composite result, not a standalone measure of graphics performance or long-session gaming. To compare phones for gaming, look for results from the same graphics test and version, plus sustained frame rates and temperature over time. The cited material does not establish a matched sustained-gaming test for these two platforms.
AI features and workloads
Qualcomm’s platform page lists AI-related capabilities, but platform feature claims are not equivalent to a benchmark of a specific AI task on a phone. Compare the features and on-device workloads available on the actual handsets you are considering; the results above do not measure AI performance directly.
Thermals, power and software
Short benchmark runs cannot settle how a phone behaves during extended use or how long it runs on a charge. Cooling design, power limits and software all belong to the handset comparison. Review sustained-load testing and battery results for the exact models rather than inferring them from the chip score.

Keep Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 separate from Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
These are different product names. Android Central’s hands-on comparison discusses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 devices alongside Pixel 10 family phones; its Elite Gen 5 figures are not Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 results. The report can illustrate why device and test conditions matter, but it should not be used to fill gaps in this matchup.

Use the benchmark comparison as one input, then compare the complete phones. For a meaningful performance check, make sure the results identify the exact handset, RAM and storage variant, software version, benchmark version and test setup.
Quick Recap
- Compare CPU single-core and multi-core results from the same benchmark version.
- For gaming, look for graphics results and sustained performance rather than relying on a composite score.
- Check which AI tasks and software features are actually available on each phone.
- Use handset-specific evidence for thermals, power use and battery life.
- Choose based on the complete phone and your priorities; a platform score alone does not establish which handset is the better purchase.
