Apple’s A18 Pro leads the cited Geekbench 6 CPU comparisons, but the available results do not establish a universal winner. NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 snapshot reports a higher total for Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while warning that Android and iOS AnTuTu results are not directly comparable. These are processor-level comparisons—not controlled tests of matched phones—so workload and handset design matter.
What the chip specifications tell you
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is Qualcomm’s mobile platform, with a Kryo CPU, Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU. Qualcomm’s product brief identifies a 4 nm process and lists support for LPDDR5x memory up to 4800 MHz, memory density up to 24 GB, USB 3.1 Gen 2, UFS 4.0, Wi-Fi 7 and X75 5G modem-RF. These are platform capabilities, not guarantees that every phone includes every feature; optional capabilities depend on OEM and carrier choices. Qualcomm also advises buyers to “Consult OEM specifications for device CPU speed.” Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 product brief and its platform page provide the vendor’s specifications.

Third-party comparison databases list Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as an eight-core CPU with Adreno 750 graphics, and Apple A18 Pro as a six-core CPU with six GPU cores. They list the A18 Pro at 3 nm and Snapdragon at 4 nm. The Apple figures here are database specifications rather than specifications verified against Apple primary documentation in the sources used for this comparison.

Geekbench 6: A18 Pro leads the reported CPU scores
Two comparison databases report different aggregate scores, but both show A18 Pro ahead in single-core and multi-core Geekbench 6. Treat these as database snapshots accessed in 2026, not as results from one controlled, matched-phone test.
| Source and reported sample | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 | Apple A18 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| NanoReview; 139 Snapdragon tests and 14 A18 Pro tests displayed | 2,203 single-core; 6,511 multi-core | 3,570 single-core; 8,923 multi-core |
| CPU-Monkey aggregate; thousands of entries indicated | 2,293 single-core; 7,117 multi-core | 3,409 single-core; 8,492 multi-core |
The difference between the databases’ figures is a reason not to treat any one number as a guaranteed score for a particular handset. Results can reflect different devices and submitted runs. See NanoReview’s chip comparison and CPU-Monkey’s comparison for their reported data.

AnTuTu and graphics tests do not produce one simple verdict
AnTuTu 11
NanoReview’s snapshot accessed in 2026 lists 2,345,563 for Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 1,782,199 for A18 Pro. The same page cautions that iOS and Android AnTuTu results are not directly comparable. The totals therefore should not be used as a fair cross-platform ranking or to overrule the Geekbench results.
3DMark
NanoReview reports mixed results across graphics workloads: A18 Pro scores 1,732 versus Snapdragon’s 1,652 in Steel Nomad Light, while Snapdragon scores 8,190 versus A18 Pro’s 7,585 in Solar Bay. That split illustrates why “faster graphics” depends on the test; it does not establish which chip sustains gaming performance better in actual phones.

How to judge performance in a phone you might buy
The chips are not typically sold as standalone consumer products. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 appears inside Android handsets, while A18 Pro is used in Apple devices. Compare the specific models and configurations available to you, not only the processor names.
- Match the workload. Geekbench CPU scores are useful for a CPU comparison; graphics tests answer different questions. For the apps or games you care about, look for testing of those workloads on the exact phone.
- Check sustained performance. Short benchmark runs do not establish how a phone behaves during a long gaming session or other extended load. Cooling, firmware and power limits vary by model.
- Compare battery tests on equal terms. The cited comparisons do not provide a matched-phone battery dataset. A process-node label is not enough to infer which phone lasts longer.
- Verify the handset configuration. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for CPU speed, memory, storage and supported features; Qualcomm notes that implementation and CPU speed can vary by platform version and OEM.
- Include software, price and availability. Operating system, app ecosystem, device support and local handset pricing can matter more to your choice than a benchmark lead.
For any score you rely on, note the phone model, operating-system version, benchmark version and run conditions where available. Benchmark pages are dynamic and can change after their 2026 snapshots.
