NanoReview’s aggregate gives the 7s Gen 4 a small overall lead, while its GPU and memory subscores favor the 6 Gen 5; Geekbench 6 points in different directions for single-core and multi-core. These are third-party results with uneven sample counts, not a controlled test of matched phones.

Benchmark comparison: what the scores show
AnTuTu 11
NanoReview lists AnTuTu 11 aggregate scores of 1,041,898 for the 7s Gen 4 and 1,012,134 for the 6 Gen 5, a roughly 3% difference favoring the 7s Gen 4. The sample sizes are 35 and two tests respectively, so the small total-score gap is especially uncertain as an indicator of typical handset performance.

Geekbench 6
In NanoReview’s listed Geekbench 6 results, the 7s Gen 4 scores 1,223 in single-core against 1,099 for the 6 Gen 5. Multi-core reverses the order: 3,168 for the 7s Gen 4 and 3,481 for the 6 Gen 5. NanoReview shows 15 tests for the 7s Gen 4 but does not display a 6 Gen 5 sample count for these results. These are not equal-sample controlled measurements.

How much weight to give the numbers
- The figures describe reported benchmark results, not guaranteed scores for every phone using either chip.
- No controlled head-to-head test in the cited material holds phone design, software, temperature, power limits, and benchmark procedure constant.
- A benchmark cannot by itself establish sustained gaming frame rates, battery life, or how a phone behaves under heat. Cooling and handset configuration can materially affect sustained performance.
Specifications and platform features
Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
Qualcomm specifies a Kryo CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.7 GHz, a Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System with peak download speeds up to 2.9 Gbps, and Wi-Fi 6E with stated peak speeds up to 2.9 Gbps. It also lists dual-SIM dual-active operation for 5G+5G or 5G+4G. NanoReview supplies the more granular CPU arrangement, Adreno 810 graphics, 4 nm TSMC process, LPDDR5 memory, and maximum display resolution of 2900 × 1300.
Qualcomm also describes selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, Adaptive Performance Engine 3.0, Game Super Resolution, on-device generative AI support, camera-processing features, and Snapdragon Sound. These are platform capabilities; the features a buyer actually gets depend on the phone maker’s implementation. Qualcomm’s stated 7% CPU and 7% GPU rendering improvements refer to the preceding 7s generation, not to a direct comparison with the 6 Gen 5.

That was a launch expectation in the May 7 announcement, not confirmation of a current retail listing or availability in a particular country.

For single-core responsiveness
The available Geekbench 6 result favors the 7s Gen 4 in single-core scoring. Treat that as a direction in the listed results rather than a promise that every 7s Gen 4 phone will feel faster: software, storage, memory, and device tuning also affect responsiveness.

For multi-core workloads
The listed Geekbench 6 multi-core result favors the 6 Gen 5, but its sample count is not shown. The benchmark evidence is too limited to make this a dependable general advantage across phones.

For graphics and gaming
The 6 Gen 5 has the higher displayed AnTuTu GPU subscore, and NanoReview lists Adreno 812 graphics for it. That does not establish which chip delivers better sustained gaming in real phones. Look for reviews that test the exact handset and game, including performance over time rather than just a short run.

For wireless features
The official platform information distinguishes Wi-Fi 6E and dual-SIM dual-active support on the 7s Gen 4 from Qualcomm’s Wi-Fi 7 positioning for the 6 Gen 5. A chipset capability is useful only if the manufacturer implements it in the handset and the buyer has compatible network equipment or carrier service.
For a phone purchase
Choose between actual phone models, not chipset names alone. Compare their price and configuration, cooling, battery and charging behavior, display, camera system, software support, and local network compatibility. The available material does not include matched phone reviews, street prices, or battery and thermal tests for these two platforms.
Verdict
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 has a slight lead in NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 total and the higher listed Geekbench single-core score; the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 leads the displayed AnTuTu GPU and memory subscores and Geekbench multi-core result. Because the evidence is based on third-party aggregates with uneven or undisclosed sample counts, it cannot support a confident overall performance ranking. Use the chipset comparison as a shortlist filter, then rely on testing and specifications for the particular phone you intend to buy.
