Qualcomm also lists the 7s Gen 2 with a higher peak CPU frequency and a 4 nm process, compared with 6 nm for the 6s Gen 3. That makes the 7s Gen 2 the stronger choice on the available CPU evidence, but the cited comparison does not establish a graphics winner or a guaranteed difference in real-world phone performance.
Benchmark results: 7s Gen 2 leads in the reported CPU scores
NanoReview’s comparison page displays these Geekbench 6 results. The figures were accessed on October 7, 2026; the page does not establish an original test date or a controlled, matched-device methodology.

| Geekbench 6 test | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 | Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Single-core | 1,015 | 938 |
| Multi-core | 2,687 | 2,183 |
Both displayed CPU scores favor the 7s Gen 2. They are third-party comparison figures, not Qualcomm ratings or guaranteed scores for every phone using either chip. Differences in handset cooling, firmware, memory, and power settings can affect benchmark performance. NanoReview’s comparison page also displays 3DMark Steel Nomad Light and Wild Life Extreme results for the 7s Gen 2 but no corresponding 6s Gen 3 values. Those entries therefore do not show which chip performs better in graphics.
Specifications: what separates the two platforms
| Specification | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 | Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Process listed by Qualcomm | 4 nm | 6 nm |
| Peak CPU frequency listed by Qualcomm | Up to 2.4 GHz | Up to 2.3 GHz |
| CPU core layout reported by NanoReview | 4 × Cortex-A78 + 4 × Cortex-A55 | 2 × Cortex-A78 + 6 × Cortex-A55 |
| 5G modem | Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System | Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF System |
| Connectivity platform named by Qualcomm | FastConnect 6700; Wi-Fi 6E listed | FastConnect 6200 |
Qualcomm specifies the process, peak frequency, modem, and connectivity details in its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 product information and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 product information. The Cortex core layouts are secondary-source reporting from NanoReview; Qualcomm’s public product information uses Kryo branding rather than those Cortex labels.

The 7s Gen 2’s 2.4 GHz ceiling is 0.1 GHz higher, but peak frequency alone does not determine how fast a phone feels. Similarly, a 4 nm process label versus 6 nm is a platform distinction, not proof of a particular battery-life advantage. Neither figure substitutes for testing finished phones under comparable conditions.
5G and Wi-Fi: platform capabilities are not phone guarantees
Qualcomm lists up to 2.9 Gbps peak modem download speed for the 7s Gen 2 and support for mmWave and sub-6 GHz. Its 6s Gen 3 product brief lists up to 2.5 Gbps 5G downlink and 1.5 Gbps 5G uplink. These are vendor-stated platform maxima, not expected speeds in ordinary use. Carrier, network conditions, regional support, and handset implementation all matter. Qualcomm’s listed Wi-Fi and FastConnect capabilities likewise should not be treated as proof that every phone using a chip implements every feature.

Which chip should you choose?
For CPU performance
The 7s Gen 2 is ahead in both Geekbench 6 CPU results displayed by NanoReview, so it has the stronger evidence here for single-core and multi-core performance. The numbers do not guarantee that every 7s Gen 2 phone will outperform every 6s Gen 3 phone in daily use.

For gaming and graphics
The available 3DMark entries do not provide results for both chips, so they cannot support a direct graphics verdict. Gaming performance also depends on the specific phone’s cooling, software tuning, memory, and display resolution; the cited platform data does not establish frame rates, sustained performance, or thermal behavior.
For battery life
The 4 nm and 6 nm labels alone do not show how long a particular phone will last. Battery capacity, display, software, modem use, and device-level power management affect endurance, and the cited material is not a same-device battery test.

When comparing phones
Choose between actual handset models, not chipset names in isolation. Check their price, software-support commitment, memory and storage configuration, cooling, display, cameras, battery, and regional 5G bands. For example, Notebookcheck lists the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G among devices using the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2; that association does not establish its current price, availability, or value relative to a phone with the 6s Gen 3.
