The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is a 4 nm, eight-core smartphone platform announced by Qualcomm on May 15, 2025. Its headline benchmark results vary by the phone tested and the benchmark version, so there is no single score that every Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 handset will achieve. Qualcomm’s performance-improvement figures are vendor claims measured against the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, not independent benchmark results.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 specifications

Qualcomm’s product brief identifies the platform as SM7750-AB. The figures below describe what the platform supports; phone makers decide which capabilities and components to include in each handset.

Specification Platform details
Process and CPU 4 nm; eight cores: one prime core up to 2.8 GHz, four performance cores up to 2.4 GHz, and three efficiency cores up to 1.8 GHz
Memory LPDDR5x up to 4200 MHz, LPDDR5 up to 3200 MHz, or LPDDR4 up to 2100 MHz; supported memory density up to 16 GB
Storage and USB UFS 4.0, UFS 3.1, and UFS 2 storage support; USB 3.1 and USB Type-C support
Graphics and AI Adreno GPU; Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0 FP support; Hexagon NPU/AI engine with INT4, INT8, and INT16 precision support
Camera capabilities Photo capture up to 200 megapixels; 4K HDR capture up to 60 fps; 1080p slow motion at 120 fps
Mobile connectivity 5G NR, including sub-6 GHz SA/NSA, Release 17; peak downlink up to 4.2 Gbps
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Wi-Fi 7 support through Qualcomm FastConnect, with stated peak speed up to 5.8 Gbps; integrated Bluetooth 6.0
Display support Up to WQHD+ resolution at 144 Hz

These are platform support ceilings, not a list of features guaranteed in every phone. For example, the chip’s support for up to 16 GB of memory or a 200-megapixel camera does not mean a particular handset includes that amount of RAM or that sensor resolution. Actual camera systems, memory, storage, display, and connectivity depend on the device maker’s implementation. Qualcomm also cautions that results vary with OEM implementation and other factors. What the benchmark results show

Third-party benchmark databases report different results for the chip. The figures below are snapshots of results displayed on those publishers’ pages, accessed October 7, 2026; they are not results from one controlled test across identical phones. Scores should be compared only when the benchmark version, device, configuration, and score type match.

Publisher and test Reported result Context
NanoReview, Geekbench 6 1,270 single-core; 4,106 multi-core Database result displayed for the platform
NanoReview, AnTuTu 11 1,329,936 Database result displayed for the platform
NanoReview, 3DMark Steel Nomad Light 667 Database result displayed for the platform
91mobiles, Geekbench 1,385 single-core; 4,314 multi-core Page describes scores as drawn from tests of devices powered by the chip
91mobiles, AnTuTu 1,457,989 Displayed result in the page’s benchmark information; its key-spec panel separately displays 1,475,463
Notebookcheck, Geekbench 6.7.1 Single-core: 1,278 minimum, 1,310 average, 1,318.5 median, 1,329 maximum; multi-core: 3,968 minimum, 4,052 average, 4,036 median, 4,188 maximum Sample of tested devices, not a guaranteed score

The differences are a reason not to treat a chipset name as a benchmark result. The 91mobiles page itself gives two AnTuTu values in different sections; they should not be merged into one figure. NanoReview also displays multiple submissions and device-specific records. Check each database’s result and test version before using a score to judge a specific phone: NanoReview’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 results, 91mobiles’ benchmark page, and Notebookcheck’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 page.

How Qualcomm’s performance claims differ from benchmarks

Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 improves CPU performance by 27%, GPU graphics rendering by 30%, and AI performance by 65% compared with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. These are Qualcomm’s own comparative claims, not the third-party scores above and not a guarantee of the same improvement in every phone or workload. The May 15, 2025 announcement identifies the comparison baseline.

Benchmark categories answer different questions. Geekbench single-core and multi-core scores measure different CPU workloads; AnTuTu is a broader composite score; and a 3DMark result concerns graphics performance. None alone establishes how a phone performs in a long gaming session. The available results do not establish a controlled, across-phone ranking for sustained gaming or thermals.

Which phones use Snapdragon 7 Gen 4?

Independent database listings include the HONOR 600, vivo V70 and V80, OPPO Reno 15, realme 16 Pro Plus, and Motorola Edge 70. A listing does not establish that a model is sold in every country or that all regional variants use the same chipset. Check the manufacturer’s local specification page and current retailer listing before buying.

How to compare Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 phones

The chipset is only one part of a phone’s performance and value. When comparing models, look at the complete implementation rather than assuming two phones with the same processor will behave identically.

  • Compare benchmark results from the same app version and score type, ideally for the exact phone model and memory configuration being considered.
  • For graphics or gaming, look for results that identify the phone, test duration, settings, and conditions; a short graphics score does not establish sustained performance.
  • Check the actual display, camera sensors, battery, RAM, storage, and software-support commitment in the phone’s own specifications.
  • Confirm market variant and local availability, since platform capabilities and model lineups can differ by region.
