The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7550-AB) is a 4 nm midrange mobile platform with an eight-core CPU, Adreno graphics, and an X63 5G modem. Its capabilities set a ceiling, not a guarantee of what a particular phone includes or how fast it will run: handset design and benchmark conditions matter. Available results range from 849,360 in a 2024 OnePlus Nord CE 4 AnTuTu test to scores above one million in newer AnTuTu 11 listings, which are not directly comparable.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 specifications
Qualcomm identifies this chip as Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, part number SM7550-AB. The CPU is a 64-bit, eight-core Kryo design. Qualcomm’s brief names the GPU family as Adreno but does not identify a specific model.

| Area | Platform capability | What it means for a phone |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 4 nm | Qualcomm’s stated manufacturing-process specification. |
| CPU | 1 prime core up to 2.63 GHz; 3 performance cores up to 2.4 GHz; 4 efficiency cores up to 1.8 GHz | Maximum clock rates are platform limits, not a promise that every workload will sustain them. |
| Graphics | Adreno GPU; OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP and Vulkan 1.3 support | The brief does not state an exact Adreno model. Game performance also depends on the phone’s cooling and software. |
| AI | Hexagon NPU with fused AI accelerator and scalar, tensor and vector accelerators; mixed-precision support | These describe platform components, not a guarantee that every phone exposes the same AI features. |
| Cellular | Snapdragon X63 5G Modem-RF; peak download up to 5 Gbps | Peak is a theoretical platform maximum. Carrier, region, signal and handset design affect real speeds. |
| Wi-Fi and Bluetooth | FastConnect 6700; Wi-Fi 6E up to 2.9 Gbps; Bluetooth 5.4 | Phone makers choose which connectivity features to implement; the peak Wi-Fi rate is not typical internet throughput. |
| Memory and storage | Up to 16 GB memory density; UFS 3.1 storage support | These are supported limits and technologies, not the configuration of every handset. |
| Display | On-device up to 4K at 60 Hz or WQHD+ at 120 Hz; external display up to 4K at 60 Hz | The phone maker determines the actual panel and whether external display output is included. |
| Camera | Photo capture up to 200 MP; multi-camera and zero-shutter-lag modes listed | Sensor choice and camera features depend on the phone. |
These specifications come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 product brief. Qualcomm’s product page also advertises up to 5 Gbps peak 5G download and a 2.9 Gbps peak Wi-Fi rate; these are theoretical maxima, not expected everyday speeds.

Why the AnTuTu numbers differ
AnTuTu 849,360 from Beebom’s 2024 Nord CE 4 test, NanoReview’s displayed 1,027,925 in AnTuTu 11, and 91mobiles’ 1,077,869 highest recorded result are not three readings of the same controlled test. Benchmark version, phone configuration, firmware, cooling, ambient conditions and the way each source collects results can all affect a score. Do not average them or treat a newer, higher number as a guaranteed improvement in every phone.
The same care applies to Geekbench: Notebookcheck’s Geekbench 6.7 average across a small listed device sample and Beebom’s Geekbench 6 Nord CE 4 result have different versions and source methods. They are useful reference points, not a standardized Qualcomm performance guarantee.
How good is Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 for gaming?
The platform supports Adreno graphics and current graphics APIs, but the name alone does not predict a game’s frame rate or whether performance will hold over a long session. Beebom’s OnePlus Nord CE 4 test recorded 99.6% stability in 3DMark Wild Life Stress Test, with a best loop of 5,445 and lowest loop of 5,425. That is evidence about that tested handset and workload, not every phone using the chip.
For a gaming decision, check testing for the exact phone model. Sustained performance depends on cooling, firmware and memory configuration as well as the SoC. Also consider the display, battery and software support of the handset; the platform’s display ceilings do not tell you which panel a manufacturer chose.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is not 7+ Gen 3 or 7s Gen 3
Qualcomm’s part number for this platform is SM7550-AB. Keep it distinct from Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3: similar names do not make their specifications or benchmark results interchangeable. Verify the exact chipset and phone model when reading a listing or comparing test results.
Quick Recap
What to check when comparing Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 phones
- Confirm the exact chipset variant and handset model.
- Compare scores from the same benchmark version and, where possible, the same phone or comparable test setup.
- For gaming, look for sustained-load results and note the phone’s cooling and firmware context.
- Check the phone’s actual RAM, storage, screen, camera and connectivity rather than assuming it implements every platform maximum.
- Judge cellular and Wi-Fi performance from handset-specific tests and local network conditions, not theoretical peak rates.
