Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 has a higher score in the available AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 comparison, but that comparison is against a chip listed as Dimensity 6360—not Dimensity 6360 Max. The evidence points toward a Snapdragon lead in those reported tests, not a controlled head-to-head verdict for the exact chips in this title. Their specifications also differ in reported process, CPU layout, memory support and connectivity.
What the benchmark evidence does—and does not—show
NanoReview compares Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with Dimensity 6360, without identifying its Dimensity column as the Max variant. Its reported results favor Snapdragon, but the sample counts are small and uneven. Treat them as directional results for the named comparison, not proof that Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 outperforms Dimensity 6360 Max under identical conditions. NanoReview’s comparison.

Separate Dimensity 6360 Max results
91mobiles separately reports device-derived scores for Dimensity 6360 Max: AnTuTu 651,333, Geekbench 6 single-core 784 and multi-core 2,042. It describes 651,333 as the highest AnTuTu score it recorded for a device running the chip. These figures come from real-world testing of powered devices, not a controlled comparison with Snapdragon 6s Gen 4; they should not be combined with NanoReview’s results to manufacture a same-method matchup. 91mobiles’ Dimensity 6360 Max specifications and benchmark report.

Specifications compared
Qualcomm’s product brief is the primary source for Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 platform specifications. The Dimensity 6360 Max figures below are reported by 91mobiles, rather than a MediaTek specification sheet. Platform capabilities are ceilings, not promises that a particular phone will include the corresponding display, camera or memory configuration. Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 product brief.

How the specifications affect a phone
CPU and everyday performance
Both chips have CPU cores with a maximum listed frequency of 2.4 GHz, but frequency alone does not determine performance. The Snapdragon uses four performance and four efficiency cores; the 6360 Max is reported with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores. NanoReview’s comparison shows higher Snapdragon CPU scores, but it compares against Dimensity 6360 without the Max label, so it cannot settle this exact matchup.
Graphics and gaming
The listed GPU names and clock information do not establish how well a phone will run a particular game. Actual performance depends on the game, graphics settings, drivers, cooling and the handset’s power limits. The Snapdragon brief names an Adreno GPU but does not provide its model number; the Mali-G57 MC2 and 1.072 GHz figure for Dimensity 6360 Max come from 91mobiles. Compare reviews or sustained game tests for the exact phones you are considering rather than inferring a winner from GPU labels or clock speeds.

Memory, storage and display
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports LPDDR5x and UFS 3.1, while 91mobiles reports LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 for Dimensity 6360 Max. These are platform-level differences; a manufacturer can choose a lower-tier configuration than a platform’s maximum, and storage speed is only one factor in how responsive a phone feels. The Snapdragon’s listed FHD+ 144 Hz ceiling is also higher than the 120 Hz reported for Dimensity, but a phone’s actual panel refresh rate and quality depend on its manufacturer.
Camera and connectivity
The platform camera figures describe sensor or capture support, not the quality of photos or video from a finished phone. Image processing, lenses and software matter, and a handset may use a lower-resolution sensor. Similarly, the Snapdragon brief lists Wi-Fi 6E while 91mobiles reports Wi-Fi 5 for the Dimensity 6360 Max. Check the exact phone’s supported bands and wireless features for your region; chipset-level support does not confirm a particular device’s implementation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do Qualcomm’s improvement claims compare these two chips?
No. Qualcomm advertises 36% improved CPU performance and 59% improved GPU performance for Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 relative to the previous-generation Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Those are Qualcomm’s vendor claims about a different comparison, not Snapdragon-versus-Dimensity benchmark results. The cited product brief does not state a publication year.

Which chipset should you choose?
The available evidence is insufficient to name a definitive winner for Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 versus Dimensity 6360 Max. NanoReview’s listed comparison favors Snapdragon against Dimensity 6360, but does not specify the Max variant; 91mobiles’ Max scores were obtained separately and do not provide a controlled cross-chip test.
For a buying decision, compare the exact phone models. Check their memory and storage configurations, cooling and sustained performance, battery capacity, software support, price and availability in your market. 91mobiles lists OPPO F35 5G, F33 Pro 5G, F33 5G, K15s 5G and A6s Pro 5G among phones using Dimensity 6360 Max; verify the chipset and current local listing for any specific model before relying on that list.
Why the chip name matters
MediaTek’s public catalogue calls the product “Dimensity 6360 MAX,” while NanoReview’s benchmark comparison labels its entry “Dimensity 6360.” A shared family name is not enough to prove the benchmarked model is the Max version. Keep the official Max name, specifications reported for Max, and benchmark figures labeled only 6360 distinct when comparing devices. MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 MAX product listing.
