Dimensity 7020 has the higher score in one published AnTuTu comparison, but that result does not establish a universal performance winner. The two are 6nm-class 5G platforms with different published CPU, GPU, connectivity, memory, display, and camera capabilities. For a buying decision, compare the exact phone models and regional variants—not just the chipset names.
Snapdragon 695 vs Dimensity 7020: specifications at a glance
| Specification | Snapdragon 695 | Dimensity 7020 |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 6nm process, according to Qualcomm. | TSMC N6, described as 6nm-class, according to MediaTek. |
| CPU | Kryo 660, up to 2.2 GHz. | Arm Cortex-A78 up to 2.2 GHz and Cortex-A55 up to 2.0 GHz. |
| GPU | Adreno 619. | IMG BXM-8-256. |
| 5G connectivity | Snapdragon X51; Qualcomm lists sub-6 GHz and mmWave support, with SA and NSA modes. | MediaTek lists 5G carrier aggregation and dual 5G SA SIM capability, and specifies peak download speed of 2.77 Gbps. |
| Memory and storage | The cited Qualcomm product page does not provide an equivalent directly comparable specification. | LPDDR5 or LPDDR4x memory and two-lane UFS 3.1 storage, according to MediaTek. |
| Display and camera capabilities | Qualcomm lists support for a 120fps FHD+ display and a Spectra 346T triple ISP. The Snapdragon 695 product brief gives concurrent-capture examples. | MediaTek lists display support up to 2520 × 1080 at 120Hz and camera support up to 108MP. |
These are platform capabilities, not promises about a retail phone. A manufacturer chooses which capabilities to implement, and a panel’s refresh rate, camera results, storage configuration, or network support can differ by device and regional variant. The two vendors also describe their process technologies differently; the shared 6nm-class label does not establish equal power use.

Which chipset is faster in benchmarks?
In its comparison, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu totals of 513,359 for Dimensity 7020 and 468,021 for Snapdragon 695. That is one publisher-reported comparison, not a guarantee that every phone with the Dimensity chip will outperform every Snapdragon 695 phone.

The cited comparison does not establish matched retail phones, software versions, thermal conditions, sample sizes, or confidence intervals. Different cooling systems, memory configurations, firmware, and sustained workloads can affect results. Treat the scores as an indication from those tests, not a controlled, universal verdict.

What the specification differences mean for a phone buyer
CPU and GPU
The published CPU descriptions identify different designs: Qualcomm names its Kryo 660 CPU, while MediaTek lists Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores with their maximum clock speeds. Their GPU names—Adreno 619 and IMG BXM-8-256—also differ. Those names alone do not show which phone will feel faster or deliver better gaming performance; matched-device testing under comparable conditions would be needed for that conclusion.
5G compatibility
Qualcomm explicitly lists sub-6 GHz and mmWave support for Snapdragon 695, while MediaTek highlights 5G carrier aggregation and dual 5G SA SIM capability for Dimensity 7020. These platform-level listings do not guarantee that a particular phone supports every band or feature. Check the exact model and regional variant against the bands and services offered by your carrier.

MediaTek’s 2.77 Gbps peak download speed is an official platform specification, not a typical-speed promise. Real throughput depends on the handset implementation, network coverage, carrier configuration, and conditions at the time of use.

MediaTek specifies LPDDR5 or LPDDR4x memory and two-lane UFS 3.1 storage for the Dimensity 7020. The cited Qualcomm page does not give an equivalent directly comparable memory-and-storage table, so the available specifications do not support a fair chipset-level advantage claim on those items.

Likewise, maximum display resolution, refresh rate, camera megapixels, or ISP support indicate what a platform can support—not the panel, sensors, lenses, image processing, or video modes a phone maker actually includes. Judge those features from the full handset specifications and, where image quality matters, device-specific reviews.
How to choose between phones using these chipsets
- Confirm the exact chipset and regional variant. Product names can cover different configurations by market. Verify the processor, RAM, storage, and 5G bands for the specific handset you can buy.
- Match the phone to your network. Check the device’s supported bands and carrier compatibility; platform-level modem features are not enough to confirm service on your network.
- Compare the hardware you will use. Look at the actual display, camera system, battery capacity, and storage configuration rather than assuming the chipset’s maximum supported features appear in the phone.
- Consider sustained use and software support. Cooling, battery behavior, software, and update commitments are handset-level factors that chipset specifications cannot settle.
- Use benchmark results as supporting evidence. If comparing scores, check the tested phone models, benchmark version, software, and thermal conditions. A single result should not outweigh the features and behavior that matter to your use.
Verdict: choose the phone, not just the processor
The available AnTuTu comparison favors Dimensity 7020, while the published specifications show distinct CPU, GPU, 5G, memory, and platform capability details. Neither point proves that one chipset is the better choice in every handset. Compare the exact phones on network compatibility, battery and sustained performance, display, camera system, price, and software support before deciding.
