The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 leads the available aggregate results in AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 single-core, while the Geekbench 6 multi-core scores are nearly tied. That is useful evidence, not a definitive phone-versus-phone verdict: the figures come from different numbers of submitted tests rather than a controlled comparison of two retail phones. Both platforms list an Adreno 810 GPU in a third-party comparison, but with different reported frequencies, and real gaming performance depends on the phone as well as the chipset.
What the comparison can—and cannot—tell you
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 are Qualcomm mobile platforms designed for smartphone makers to build into complete phones. They are not standalone parts for a consumer phone upgrade. A chipset comparison can indicate likely capabilities, but it cannot account for a particular phone’s cooling, memory, software, battery, or manufacturer configuration.

For the figures below, NanoReview’s comparison page reports aggregate benchmark results, not a matched test of two phones under identical conditions. Its sample counts differ by chip and benchmark, so the results should be read as a snapshot of submitted tests rather than a guaranteed score for any handset. (NanoReview comparison)

Benchmark results: 7s Gen 4 leads in two listed measures
NanoReview lists the following benchmark aggregates. The sample counts are the counts shown on its comparison page; they are not numbers of phones in a controlled head-to-head test.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 | What the figures indicate |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 total | 1,041,898; 35 samples | 975,254; 97 samples | 7s Gen 4 has the higher listed aggregate total. |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,223; 15 samples | 1,087; 17 samples | 7s Gen 4 has the higher listed single-core result. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 3,168; 15 samples | 3,148; 17 samples | The listed results are very close. |
These scores do not establish how a specific phone will perform. NanoReview also shows varying outcomes across other tests, including graphics and PCMark results, so an overall benchmark lead should not be treated as a universal speed ranking. Benchmark version and test type matter, and submitted aggregates can reflect differences among devices and test conditions.
Graphics and gaming: the shared GPU name is not the whole story
NanoReview’s specification table identifies an Adreno 810 GPU for both platforms, while listing 895 MHz for the 7s Gen 4 and 1,150 MHz for the 6 Gen 4. These are third-party specification listings, not values confirmed in a directly comparable official Qualcomm specification table. Frequency alone does not predict game frame rates: phone cooling, power limits, software, and sustained load also matter. (NanoReview comparison)
Because the third-party comparison’s graphics-related results do not all point in the same direction as its CPU scores, neither the shared GPU model name nor a frequency figure is enough to declare a gaming winner. For a gaming purchase, look for tests of the exact handset you might buy, especially sustained performance rather than a short peak score.

Connectivity and platform features
Qualcomm describes Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 as supporting 5G across mmWave and sub-6 GHz, Wi-Fi 6E with a stated peak speed of up to 2.9 Gbps, Bluetooth 5.4, and photo capture up to 200 MP. Qualcomm’s search-indexed Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform material describes Wi-Fi 6/6E with a stated peak speed of up to 2.9 Gbps. These are platform capabilities, not guarantees that every phone using a chip will include or enable every feature; implementation depends on the manufacturer and configuration. How to interpret Qualcomm’s 6 Gen 4 performance claims
Qualcomm says Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 delivers 11% improved CPU performance, up to 29% better GPU performance, and 12% power savings. These percentages compare it with the preceding generation, not with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Qualcomm’s release specifies Geekbench v6.2 single-thread for the CPU result, GFXBench Aztec Ruins for the GPU result, and internal testing for power savings; it also cautions that battery life varies significantly by device, settings, usage, and other features. (Qualcomm announcement)
Qualcomm described the launch as a mid-tier advance in AI, gaming, and photography. That is the company’s product positioning, not an independent comparison with the 7s Gen 4.

Which chipset should you choose?
If you are comparing chipset specifications alone, the available aggregate evidence favors Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 for the listed AnTuTu 11 total and Geekbench 6 single-core scores, while its listed Geekbench 6 multi-core result is nearly level with the 6 Gen 4. That is a narrow conclusion about these reported measures—not proof that every 7s Gen 4 phone is faster or a better buy.
For an actual purchase, compare phones that use the chips rather than choosing by platform name alone. Check the exact model and regional variant, memory configuration, cooling design, battery, software support, price, and availability. Current phone models and regional listings are not established by the platform comparison itself.
What is known about phone availability
Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 on February 12, 2025, and said realme, OPPO, and Honor were expected to announce phones using it in the following months. That announcement does not establish which models are currently available in a particular region or their prices. Qualcomm’s 7s Gen 4 platform material establishes the platform, but a chipset name alone is not enough to identify a suitable handset or its local configuration. (Qualcomm announcement)
