Neither chip is a clear winner for every phone. MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 has higher published peak CPU clocks and a higher peak 5G downlink figure, while third-party benchmark aggregates split: Dimensity 7360 leads NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 result, but Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 leads its Geekbench 6 multi-core result. Those aggregates cover Dimensity 7360, not a confirmed matched pair of Turbo-branded and Snapdragon phones, so use them as clues—not a definitive buying verdict.
What is the difference between Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Dimensity 7360 Turbo?
Both are eight-core, 4 nm-class mid-range smartphone platforms. Qualcomm lists a Kryo CPU reaching up to 2.4 GHz and Adreno graphics; MediaTek lists four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G615 MC2 graphics. MediaTek’s official product page is for the Dimensity 7360; 91mobiles separately identifies the Turbo-branded version. A result labeled Dimensity 7360 should not automatically be presented as a tested 7360 Turbo handset result.

| Specification | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 | Dimensity 7360 / Turbo evidence |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Qualcomm lists Kryo CPU up to 2.4 GHz. NanoReview describes four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, with A55 up to 1.8 GHz. | MediaTek lists four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores for Dimensity 7360. 91mobiles lists the Turbo model’s A55 cores at 2 GHz. |
| GPU | Adreno; NanoReview identifies Adreno 710. | Mali-G615 MC2. |
| Manufacturing process | 4 nm, according to Qualcomm. | 4nm-class, according to MediaTek. |
| Memory and storage support | LPDDR5 and UFS 2.2/3.1 are listed in the available product details summarized by NanoReview. | MediaTek lists LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 memory, up to 6400 Mbps, and UFS 3.1. |
| Peak 5G download | Up to 2.9 Gbps, per Qualcomm. | Up to 3.27 Gbps downlink with 3CC aggregation, per MediaTek. |
| Other wireless features | Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 6/6E capability. | MediaTek lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. |
These are platform capabilities, not guarantees about a particular phone. Manufacturers choose memory and storage configurations, and a phone’s cooling, antenna design, firmware, and regional implementation influence what users actually get. A “4 nm” label alone does not establish identical efficiency or thermals.

Which is faster in benchmark results?
NanoReview’s current aggregate comparison reports results for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Dimensity 7360—not a controlled comparison of otherwise equivalent phones carrying the two exact chip variants. Its sample counts differ by test, so the figures are directional rather than a universal ranking.

| 3DMark Steel Nomad Light | 306 | 343 | NanoReview aggregate; it reports 98% stability for Snapdragon and no stability figure for Dimensity. |
| PCMark 3.0 | 13,090 | 10,678 | NanoReview aggregate; Snapdragon results cover three phone models, while Dimensity results cover fewer than three. This is a system-level test, not a pure chip measurement. |
Separately, 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu 11 score of 990,352 as the highest recorded by a device using Dimensity 7360 Turbo on its page, and lists Geekbench 6 results of 1,027 single-core and 2,907 multi-core. These are publisher-reported device results, not a like-for-like match with NanoReview’s aggregate samples or a promise of the score you will see on another phone.
Qualcomm says its Kryo CPU delivers up to 10% performance improvement for faster app loading and smoother multitasking. That is Qualcomm’s claim about Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 versus Snapdragon 6 Gen 1—not an independent Snapdragon-versus-Dimensity result.

Which chip is better for gaming?
The specifications establish different GPU families—Adreno and Mali-G615 MC2—but do not establish which will deliver higher sustained frame rates in a specific game. GPU branding, peak clock speed, or one synthetic score is not enough to determine how a finished phone performs during a long session.
- Look for sustained frame-rate or thermal testing of the exact phone model, ideally in the games you play.
- Check whether the display refresh rate and resolution suit your priorities; the chipset alone does not tell you what screen the phone includes.
- Consider cooling and battery behavior during extended play, which depend on the complete handset design.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose between actual phone models, not chipset names in isolation. The cited platform specifications do not establish equivalent handset performance, prices, camera quality, software support, or regional availability. Compare the models available where you live in this order:

- Confirm the exact model, chipset, and local price. Check the regional SKU and the manufacturer’s or seller’s specification sheet; names and configurations can vary by market.
- Prioritize sustained performance for your workload. For gaming or demanding apps, use tests from the exact handset rather than assuming an aggregate chip score predicts everyday performance.
- Compare display, battery, and charging. These affect daily use more directly than a small difference in a benchmark score.
- Assess camera hardware and image processing. A chipset comparison cannot settle camera quality for two complete phones.
- Check software updates and support. Confirm each manufacturer’s policy for the specific model and market.
- Verify network compatibility. Check the phone’s regional 5G bands and carrier support; the listed modem peak speeds are not expected local speeds.
- Compare memory and storage in the exact configuration. Platform support for a memory or storage type does not mean every phone using the chip includes it.
What the published 5G figures mean
Qualcomm lists peak download up to 2.9 Gbps for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while MediaTek lists peak downlink up to 3.27 Gbps for Dimensity 7360, alongside 3CC aggregation. These are platform maxima, not real-world speed forecasts. Carrier, network bands, location, antenna design, and the phone’s implementation all affect actual connectivity.
