Neither the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 nor the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 is a clear all-round winner. In 91mobiles’ reported comparison, the Dimensity 7050 scores higher in AnTuTu and Geekbench single-core, while the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 leads in Geekbench multi-core. Their CPU layouts, graphics and connectivity features also differ, but benchmark results are not consistent across sources. The better choice depends on the specific phone and what you value most.
How the specifications compare
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 has four Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The Dimensity 7050 has two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The Dimensity’s reported peak clocks are higher, but core count and peak frequency alone do not establish which chip will feel faster in every task.

The fuller Snapdragon feature list comes from Qualcomm’s product page; it should not be read as proof that the Dimensity 7050 lacks features not listed by 91mobiles. Qualcomm also lists support for FHD+ displays at up to 120 fps and photo capture up to 200 MP. These platform capabilities do not guarantee that a phone maker will include or enable them in a particular model.
What the benchmark results say

| Benchmark reported by 91mobiles | Dimensity 7050 | Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 | Higher reported result |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 857,992 | 846,599 | Dimensity 7050 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,103 | 948 | Dimensity 7050 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,628 | 2,764 | Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 |
These are 91mobiles’ reported figures, not guaranteed scores for every phone using either chipset. The comparison page also breaks AnTuTu into CPU, GPU, memory and UX subscores. Its figures do not establish a universal winner, particularly when the total-score difference is modest and the results vary by benchmark.
Why benchmark pages disagree
Other comparison sources report different AnTuTu 10 and Geekbench 6 results from 91mobiles. CPU-Monkey says there are not enough shared benchmark results to rate the pair confidently. The available sources do not provide a common controlled test protocol that resolves the discrepancy.
Benchmark version, phone model, firmware, cooling, thermal limits and the devices selected for comparison can all affect a result. Treat scores as evidence about the tested phones and conditions—not as a promise of performance from every handset with that chip.

Which chip makes more sense for your use?
For everyday use
The specifications and conflicting benchmark snapshots do not establish a reliable everyday-use winner. A phone’s software, memory configuration, display and thermal behavior can matter as much as the SoC for the experience you get.
For gaming and graphics
The comparison source identifies an Adreno 710 GPU in the Snapdragon and a Mali-G68 MP4 in the Dimensity. That naming alone does not settle game performance. Look for graphics benchmarks or reviews of the exact phone you are considering, because cooling and software can affect sustained performance.
For connectivity and charging features
Qualcomm specifically lists the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1’s X62 modem-RF system, mmWave and sub-6 GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and Quick Charge 4+. The Dimensity comparison page provides less detail, so a direct feature-by-feature conclusion is not possible from these sources. Check the target handset’s specifications and regional variant for the bands, wireless features and charging support it actually offers.

How to choose between phones using these processors
Compare the actual handsets rather than buying on chipset name alone. For example, 91mobiles lists the vivo T3x among Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 phones and the OPPO Reno10 5G among Dimensity 7050 phones; those examples show that the comparison is about processors implemented inside complete devices, not standalone chips.
- Check the exact regional model and its network bands.
- Compare RAM and storage configurations, not just the processor.
- Look at battery capacity, charging, display quality and software support.
- Review camera hardware and processing on the specific phone.
- Use phone-specific gaming or thermal tests if sustained performance matters.
- Compare current prices and availability for the exact configuration you want.
Phone features and configurations can vary by market. Qualcomm’s platform specifications describe capabilities, not a guarantee that every handset will implement them.
