The published specifications show Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 with a 4nm process and LPDDR5 memory, while MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 is listed with a 6nm design and LPDDR4x. But the available evidence does not establish which chip is faster overall: 91mobiles reports device-tested Dimensity 6360 Apex results, while no comparable Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 benchmark score is published on Qualcomm’s product page or available here.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 vs Dimensity 6360 Apex: specifications
MediaTek’s official specification page is for Dimensity 6360; the “Apex” label and associated phone benchmarks appear in 91mobiles’ listing. MediaTek does not provide a separate official specification sheet labeled Dimensity 6360 Apex. The comparison below therefore uses the official Dimensity 6360 specifications and identifies Apex-specific test results separately.

| Specification | Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 | Dimensity 6360 |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 4nm, according to Qualcomm. | 6nm, according to MediaTek. |
| CPU | 64-bit Kryo CPU, up to 2.3GHz. The inspected Qualcomm page does not state the core arrangement. | 64-bit octa-core: 2× Arm Cortex-A76 up to 2.4GHz and 6× Cortex-A55 up to 2.0GHz. |
| GPU | Adreno; listed APIs include OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1 and OpenCL 2.0. | Arm Mali-G57 MC2. |
| Memory and storage | LPDDR5; Qualcomm’s feature copy states speeds up to 3.2GHz. Storage type is not stated on the inspected page. | LPDDR4x, maximum memory frequency 2133MHz, and UFS 2.2 storage. |
| Camera support | Qualcomm describes support for 36MP cameras and Spectra ISP features. | Native support up to 108MP; a 16MP+16MP configuration is also listed. |
| Display | Qualcomm describes a 120 FPS display refresh rate; an equivalent maximum resolution is not stated on the inspected page. | Up to 2520×1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. |
| 5G | Qualcomm advertises Release 16 5G and peak rates up to 2.5Gbps download and 0.9Gbps upload. Its detailed modem field says “Qualcomm LTE Modem,” an inconsistency on the product page. | Release 16 5G and peak download up to 3.3Gbps, according to MediaTek. |
| Wi-Fi and Bluetooth | Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. | Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. |
These are platform specifications, not guarantees about a finished phone. Process node alone does not establish battery life, and memory generation alone does not determine a whole-device benchmark result. Actual camera quality, screen behavior and sustained performance depend on the phone’s components, software, cooling and configuration.
Which is better: Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 or Dimensity 6360 Apex?
There is not enough comparable evidence to name an overall performance winner. Qualcomm lists a 2.3GHz maximum for its Kryo CPU, while MediaTek publishes the Dimensity’s core layout and clocks. Those disclosures are not equivalent: a peak clock or CPU label by itself does not show how two phones perform in games or everyday tasks. No comparable GPU benchmark or matched phone test is available in the cited sources.

The specifications do show different platform trade-offs. Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 lists the newer LPDDR5 memory generation and a 4nm process; Dimensity 6360 specifies its CPU arrangement, Mali GPU, LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 storage. None of these details alone proves that one complete phone will be faster, more efficient or better for gaming.

There is a score discrepancy on the 91mobiles Dimensity 6360 Apex listing: its key-spec card shows AnTuTu 588,702, while its introduction and benchmark table show 588,319. The table figure is used above and should not be treated as a settled, universal chip score. 91mobiles also names OnePlus N6 5G and OnePlus N6x 5G as phones powered by the Apex variant; results from a tested device can reflect that phone’s implementation as well as its processor.

Without a matched test using the same benchmark version and comparable phone conditions, these Dimensity scores cannot answer which processor wins head to head.

Gaming, cameras, displays and 5G: what the specs can tell you
Gaming and efficiency
MediaTek’s product page claims up to 57% faster gaming performance and up to 19% better power efficiency during gaming compared with “direct alternative smartphone chipsets.” The inspected page does not name those alternatives or provide the test methodology, so these vendor claims cannot establish an advantage over Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 specifically. The listed GPU models also do not substitute for comparable game testing.
Camera and screen limits
The listed camera megapixel figures are support ceilings, not image-quality ratings. A phone’s sensor, lenses, image processing and camera software determine its actual photos. Likewise, a platform’s display resolution or refresh-rate capability does not mean every phone using it has a panel with those specifications; check the exact handset.

5G and wireless details
MediaTek lists peak Dimensity 6360 download speeds up to 3.3Gbps, while Qualcomm advertises up to 2.5Gbps download and 0.9Gbps upload for Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. These are platform peak figures, not expected everyday speeds. Qualcomm’s page also pairs its 5G claims with a detailed modem field labeled “Qualcomm LTE Modem”; the page does not resolve that inconsistency. Actual connectivity depends on the phone, network, supported bands and local carrier conditions. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth versions listed for a platform should also be checked against the specific phone configuration and regional certification.

What to compare when choosing a phone
Because the published evidence does not provide a direct benchmark winner, compare the actual handsets rather than selecting by chipset name alone. Check the exact model and regional variant, independent reviews using the same benchmark versions, sustained gaming tests, display panel, camera hardware, battery capacity, software support and network-band compatibility.
