Snapchat does not publish a Snapscore refresh schedule or the exact formula behind it. It says the score factors in Snaps sent and received, Stories posted, and other undisclosed factors. You can find your own score under your name on your Profile screen.
What makes your Snapscore go up?
Snapchat describes the calculation this way: “Your Snapchat score is determined by a super-secret, special equation that combines the number of Snaps you’ve sent and received, the Stories you’ve posted, and a couple other factors.” The company does not identify those other factors or explain how much any activity contributes. There is no official points calculator: Snapchat’s explanation assigns no fixed value to a sent Snap, received Snap, Story, or other action. In particular, the cited guidance does not establish whether text chats, streaks, watching Stories, or opening and replying in a certain sequence add points.

When does my Snapscore update?
Snapchat’s Snapscore help page does not say how often the number refreshes or how long a change takes to appear. Claims that it updates instantly, within a particular number of minutes, or after a specific action are not confirmed by that guidance. If your displayed number seems unchanged, check the current in-app score and Snapchat Support’s current troubleshooting advice rather than relying on an assumed waiting period.

Can someone see my Snapchat score?
Snapchat’s profile guidance says only friends can see a personal profile, while anyone on Snapchat can see a Public Profile. That describes profile audiences; it does not explicitly establish that a Snapscore is visible to everyone who can view a Public Profile. Snapchat Support: Public Profiles

Snapchat says Snapchat+ subscribers can tap a friend’s Snapscore in that person’s Friendship Profile to see how much it has changed since they last checked. This is a score-change feature, not a published update schedule or proof that every viewer can see every score. Snapchat Support: How does the Friend Snapscore Change feature work?

Snapscore and game leaderboard scores are different
Some Snapchat games have leaderboards. Snapchat says friends may see game scores and rankings when game activity sharing is allowed; those controls are under Profile > Settings > Game Activity. They apply to game activity, not the Snapscore metric. Snapchat Support: How do I manage my game activity sharing settings?
