Bring a Frozen Heart, interact with the frozen Yeti, and confirm the prompt (guides report it as holding T). The heart is consumed and the fight starts. The main prize is the Emberheart Lantern, reported at a 25% drop chance, which gives you Cold Immunity in Iceveil once you recharge it at a campfire.
Every figure below comes from third-party guides and community wiki pages. No official developer reward table or patch note was found, so check the in-game prompt and reward screen for your current build.

Where to find the Yeti
The lair sits directly south of Butterfly Estate’s shrine, near the long red bridge.

- Start at the shrine in Butterfly Estate, Iceveil Valley.
- Head south, behind the houses, toward the lake and the long red bridge.
- Enter the waterfall cave.
- Follow the passage to the icy cavern at the back, where the Yeti is frozen in place.
Iceveil’s cold drains health as you travel, so reach the lair with full health. If you already own a charged Emberheart Lantern from an earlier kill, equip it before you leave.

Summon requirements
- Item: one Frozen Heart. The Yeti isn’t active until you return the heart.
- Action: interact with the frozen Yeti and choose the “Return the Heart” prompt. One guide reports the key as
T. Follow whatever your screen shows if it differs. - Cost: the heart is used up on each summon, so you need one per attempt.
Getting a Frozen Heart
Guides report two sources, and neither is verified against an official drop table:

Neither route is clearly best. Buying suits you if you have spare Wen. Chest hunting suits you if you’re already running content that drops them.

Cold immunity and the Emberheart Lantern
The lantern is a two-step item: winning it doesn’t protect you until it is charged.
- Defeat the Yeti and hope for the lantern drop.
- Equip the Emberheart Lantern.
- Stand next to a campfire in Iceveil Valley and watch the Cold Immunity timer fill. Guides report a maximum of ten minutes.
- Explore while the ember burns. When it expires, return to a campfire and rekindle it.
A guide transcribes the tooltip as: “Its ember holds off Iceveil’s freeze while it burns, then must be rekindled beside a campfire.” The same guide reports bonuses of +25 Max Health and +20 Max Stamina. Treat both as attributed to that guide rather than independently confirmed.

Because each attempt burns a heart, the lantern’s expected cost is high. At 25%, you’d average four hearts per lantern. Once you own the lantern, further kills are mostly for EXP, Wen, and chests. Decide whether that is worth a heart each time.
