Reported requirements for Sound Breathing
The most detailed Sound-specific route currently reported is in the Slayers 2 Wiki’s Sound Breathing guide. It lists these prerequisites and costs:

- Be on the Slayer path and reach level 25.
- Have Wall Climb for the route to the trainer.
- Bring 4,000 Wen, 10 Demon Horns and 3 Beast Cores, according to that guide.
Do not treat those item counts as confirmed current requirements. A separate Slayers 2 breathing-styles guide describes Sound’s materials differently, and the available guide information does not establish whether the discrepancy reflects a patch, an omission or an error. The trainer-locations guide, published September 19, 2026, also warns that reported costs have conflicted around launch patches. Check the trainer’s live dialogue before spending time farming.

Where to find Tengai
The detailed Sound guide places Tengai in Iceveil Valley. Other guide information leaves the trainer location uncertain, so use the current in-game map marker to confirm the route before travelling. Wall Climb is reported as preparation for reaching the trainer; the guides do not establish any further route requirements.

Complete Tengai’s training chain
According to the detailed guide, Tengai assigns six tasks in sequence: five mini-games, then a fight against the Sound Trainee. Each task unlocks after the previous one, and a quest marker points to the relevant training area.
- Start the Sound training with Tengai and follow the quest marker to the first mini-game.
- Complete each of the five mini-games in order, following the marker to the next area as it appears.
- After the mini-games, defeat the Sound Trainee to finish the reported training sequence.
The guide does not provide substantiated details about the mini-games’ mechanics or exact fight strategy, so follow the objectives shown in your game rather than relying on unverified walkthrough specifics.

Before you farm or travel
- Confirm that you are on the Slayer path and meet the level gate shown by the trainer.
- Check Tengai’s current dialogue for the material requirements; do this before farming the disputed items.
- Confirm the trainer’s map marker in your current game, since published location reports are not fully consistent.
- Once the requirements are confirmed, complete the marked training tasks in sequence.
